This is a much bigger story than the Mars one due to the molecules they found were “100s of carbon atoms long and coiled”.

Well, proteins happen to be 100s of carbon atoms in length and happen to wrap around themselves in round/cylinder/sphere type shapes...like they found these molecules to be.

They dont know there is life there and they don’t “know” these are proteins, but 100s of carbon atoms long and wrapping around itself suggests proteins.

This, by far is the closest we have found life outside of Earth.

He has to send the Space Force first to make sure it's safe.

On the other hand, it could be that these "building blocks" occur more commonly in our solar system and elsewhere in the universe without any presence of life.

From 2017:  https://www.cnn.com/2017/07/28/us/titan-saturn-moon-alien-methane/index.html

I agree, of course that would lead to believe that these molecules (fossil fuels) are naturally occuring and NOT from dead animals/dinosaurs.

Interesting news on Ross 128b that I just saw.
