Yeah, I mean I kiiind of understand the not reviewable element because it’s tough to go back and say what would have happened if they called it correctly. But how does the ump not see that, he’s standing right there

But when he does national telecast for non Reds games....he’s pretty decent. He’s abysmal as a Reds tv announcer

I've always felt that when Thom does national, he's Generic TV Announcer #101 -- in other words, boring, but on point and tolerable. When he does Reds games, you get that "I'm a big fish in this small pond" vibe where he decides that anything goes and he's more interesting in rambling about stuff constantly than doing the announcing. Kind of that "I have to be super-professional there...so I'm kicking back and doing my thing here!" way.

Thom sucks.
