Today at the Convo at Ohio University New Boston brought the wrong jerseys but luckily were able to wear the road black jerseys of the Ohio Bobcats...they hadn’t been to the district tourney in 20 years and then the coach does that lol

I guess if it’s settled before tip off it is fine....if not it’s 5 technical fouls for the 5 starters with improper uniforms and then a technical for each player that comes in off the bench.

They blew a 9 point lead and lost. That same coach had to sit out some games while OHSAA investigated some transfer issues.

Kudos to the other team and officials for working with the offending team ahead of time.  Definitely don't want to punish the kids if it can be avoided.  Now, if that team had waited and then taken off their warmups for the intros with the wrong color jerseys, then I have no problem assessing the techs.

I had a flashback to one game I was at - the visitors came in with illegal jerseys.  Their two best players wore the numbers 8 and 61 - technicals assessed immediately.   I still haven't figured out why a team would do that.

Rival communities only about 8 miles apart...one of the transfers is actually from SW.

That'll give the bleacher jockeys something new to work with next season!

I don't follow basketball, but why would 8 and 61 automatically create technical fouls?

It's a rule for referees' convenience when signalling fouls to the official scorer....

"American basketball leagues at all levels traditionally use single and double digits between 0 and 5 (i.e. 0, 00, 1–5, 1015, 2025, 3035, 4045, and 5055). The NCAA and most amateur competitions mandate that only these numbers be used."

And here I was, thinking I wouldn't see Kenny Kaminski's name again... Did he finish with 12-15 points on 33% percent shooting like the real one usually did?
