Tis the season, most ppl abandon their NYR by Jan 18th [lol], but let's hear your New Year's Resolutions.
I've been slipping on my sleep. Since the summer I went from consistently getting 8-8.5 hours a night to like 5.5-6. I'm recommitting myself to going to bed by 9 again every night. I felt much better when I was doing that, and I want to get back to that.

I don't really do resolutions anymore, but I will use this as a time to "reset", regarding diet and exercise. I've been eating like garbage for the last two months and that needs to stop. Working out with stay the same for the most part, just up the cardio.
I weighed 197 Xmas night (lol). That's a lot for me, I hope to cut 10-15 lbs by April for a snowboard trip.
I also want to get serious about learning Spanish. If I see a deal for some classes I'll jump on it, but it's not really a priority.
What's normal for you? Sounds like 197lbs is high.
I feel ya on letting yourself go lol. In college I tore my PCL and meniscus, got up to 230 lbs! I'm ~6'2" so that was quite chunky for me. Went on a serious diet and a few yrs later I was down to 165 before I started hitting the weight room. I've settled in on 180, and if I get above that by even 5 lbs I feel like a total fat slob.

Like this year, my resolution is to get a job in Europe. I failed this year obviously, but I will go at it again this year.
I also reset my diet like Auto. I have been fine, but after September/October I tend to loosely follow my diet and I "reset" toward the end of February and start getting stricter.

Really been drinking too much and gaining weight (lack of excercise also). Need to reverse those trends.

I definitely need to clean up my eating, but I have no specific goals. We're also going on a spending freeze for January as we spent way too much money over the last month on gifts and random crap for ourselves.
Other than that, I'm continuing my resolution from 2016 to read more. I'll finish this year with either 50 or 51 books read, which will put me at or over 50 each of the last three years.

- 2018 - Wake up when alarm goes off and not hit snooze/start day lethargic versus energized. For the most part, succeeded. Probably 90% of the time.
This is actually a good idea and something I need to work on going forward. I'll add this to my list of things to get better at in 2019.

It wasn't a resolution, but I started doing this about 5-6 years ago. This approach is definitely much better than constantly hitting snooze. I am trying to get my wife into this habit. She currently has about around 10 alarms scheduled 3-5 minutes apart. What is the point? smh.

Wait, are you married to my wife as well?
Also, when she does finally get up she abandons her phone to be lost somewhere in the covers. Inevitably, another fucking alarm goes off while she's in the kitchen and has to scramble to find her phone to turn the damn alarm off. smh
