Anyone doing anything fun tonight? We have actually gone out the last few years, but we're settling back in to our old tradition of ordering Chinese food and watching Back to the Future I & II tonight, and then III tomorrow. We lead very exciting lives.

I plan on staying home, like I always do. I don't have to be out and around a bunch of idiots to celebrate something that only ages us. I think it's great for people who want to do that, I guess I'm just at that stage in life where it is unimportant to me.

I definitely don't like being out in public for NYE. Last year we went to a party at our friends house. The year before that we had a nice dinner with friends and ended up at one of their friends house.

We usually stick around the neighborhood now that everyone has kids. Last year we had everyone at our house and I'm not even sure we made it to midnight. This year we are going next door (baby monitor in hand) at around 8, so should be able to make it to the ball drop.

Low key compared to the last few years when we hosted a progressive dinner party. We are just going to dinner and then somebody's house. Not a big group this year, and honestly I would prefer not to do anything. NYE is overrated, and it sucks it is on a Monday this year.

Dinner with the lady friend then heading to a friend of a friend’s party. Which I’m happy about since I can bail if it sucks. If it was a friends party I’d be locked in til after midnight.

Wife and I at home, steam up some King Crab, wine and just relax. Tomorrow prepare sauerkraut and pork, mash potatoes and corn, corn bread. Dinner with a few friends...
