What’s everyone doing?

We’re doing a dinner out tonight (Cap City). Then back home for a toast for the two of us at midnight. I’ll probably have a bourbon or two as well.

For New Year’s Day we will probably start with French Toast. Then during the day I will probably make a few appetizers to snack on during the day and for the game. I think I’m making meatballs, bean dip, mini tacos, and a charcuterie board.

Venezuelan feast then drinking until I drop. Like Xmas eve, they aim to party all night. I wasn’t prepared on the 24th and went down at 2.

Might make it until 3 tonight. 😂

Tomorrow just chilling until the game. I’m outside of Nashville and may go to an OSU bar downtown...TBD.

We went to two breweries yesterday (Nine Giant and High Grain) and picked up Indian food on the way home. Watched Back to the Future and BTTF II as we do every NYE.

Rang in the New Year with my wife and our two boys and their wives at our house. We ordered take out from Moe's Bar-B-Que and later in the evening I made my world famous Reuben Sandwich's. Today we are having Pork Roast with Sauerkraut and mashed potatos and watching Bowl Games.

HAPPY NEW YEAR OC!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night I grilled filet mignon that we picked up at Brown Derby and my wife made crab legs.  She had also made two pies earlier (banana cream and chocolate).  Good lord, we were stuffed.

Then for dinner today, we had our New Year traditional meal of pork roasted in sauerkraut with mashed potatoes, lima beans and corn we had cut and froze.  Wow!

Holidays with young kids can be fun at times but also really suck.

They mostly suck. We had both our kids home the week of Christmas and then yesterday. It’s a fucking lot.

My friend showed me a trick. They played a fake countdown at 8:30 for the kiddies. Put them down, then proceeded to libate heavily.

Early NYE dinner at Brio.  Great meal and dessert, and home early before the madness.  And plenty of leftovers for yesterday.

This year my neighbors were shooting off major fireworks one street over.  Never heard that much before, always used to be a few firecrackers and bottle rockets.  This year it was the big cannons and reports.  Thank goodness my Min-Pin was sacked out on the floor, he never once raised his head during the booms.

Was in Florida also .........had the 6am flight, then was on the water all afternoon fishing, dropped at 11pm.  Sunny and 84  --  greatly appreciated.  And goodness they all like to launch fireworks everywhere; seemed like the 4th of July.
