SInce it just ended on AMC....

Saving Private Ryan, when CPT Miller (Tom Hanks) tells PVT Ryan "Earn This" and when PVT Ryan comes to visit the grave site he looks at his wife and says. "Tell me ive led a good life. Tell me I'm a good man".

What say you, what movie lines always hit ya in the feelz?

Man, that one is awesome. That will be a tough one to beat.

I went out to that field little over two years ago when we were in the area.  Middle of nowhere, stone roads, no gates, just walked right up!

Never. Then my wife got pregnant. Cried both times since.

"Sleepless In Seattle" - when Tom Hanks' character says "I cried over "The Dirty Dozen" - Jim Brown throwing the grenades ....."

On a more serious note:

"Highlander" - when McLeod's wife has e asked him why he has stayed with her all these years (with her old and dying, and him still young and handsome), and he says truthfully, "Because I love you as much now as the first day we met".

  • When the 101 finds the concentration camp in Band of Brothers
  • Will asks his uncle Phil why his dad don’t want him, man
  • Boy Meets World. Alan tells Eric he’s never been prouder when Eric takes and passes the SAT (cheesy, I know)
  • Shindlers List: Oskar Schindler crying;  This pin. Two people. This is gold. Two more people. He would have given me two for it, at least one. One more person. A person, Stern. For this. I could have gotten one more person... and I didn't! And I... I didn't.
  • Different SVP moment: When Vin Diesel is dying and says he has a letter for his dad...it has blood on it.
  • In Bruges - I shot a little boy (Collin Ferrel)
  • Good Will Hunting - It’s not your fault (never made me cry until the last 2x. Went like 25 viewings just fine)
  • Amistad - Give us, us free
  • A Time To Kill - “...now imagine they’re white”

The Rookie –

Jimmy : [On the phone with Lorri] “You remember that blue sports coat that I never wear? ... Jimmy : Well, apparently... there's a dress code in the Major Leagues. “

Not so much a line, but a sequence. The start of Up gets me every freaking time.

A goofy one: I cry when I watch How To Train Your Dragon with my daughter toward the end:

"He's alive.  You brought him back alive."

Couple of good quotes in that movie to go along with that one.

One I always loved "it was ok to think about what you want to do until it was time to start doing what you were meant to do"

*When the manager tells Jimmy that his teammate is getting called up:

Durham Manager Mac: Jimmy, I just got off the phone with the big club. They're calling up Brooks.
Jimmy: That's great. He won't be back.
Durham Manager Mac: He respects you, and I think you ought to be the one to tell him. Being that you're going, too.

I cannot imagine the feeling of ever getting that news, especially at that age.

Same movie, but what about when he wants his daughter to talk and she won’t, but then when he’s about to leave she says something like “I’ll say whatever you want please don’t leave”

Yeah, that one actually might hit harder, to be honest.
