How will your habits/routines change after this?

Curious if anyone has given much thought on how you might do anything differently once this quarantine crap is over.

Truthfully, it hasn't changed our routine much.  Been sleeping in more and drinking more water.  That's about it.

Fixed yours to make it more appropriate for applying to me.

Hope to take away the lesson that nothing is certain, so living in the future is very pointless.  Yes there is planning that is required.  But imagining what's going to happen and sometimes counting on it is a complete waste of time.

Going to become something of a prepper - let's face it, a pandemic causing a temporary breakdown of basic services is very real:

I will probably try to keep more food and water (and toilet paper) on hand, at least a 1 month supply but more like 3 months.  I'll freeze most of the food in prepared meals, so really just a matter of rotating thru and keep replenishing.

Considering getting a gun and training.

An extra propane tank (or two) for cooking food and portable power.  Would need a generator so I can keep my freezer, at minimum, running in the event of a power outage.

Now we can all be like a teacher off for the summer

I'm also going into some level of prepper mode after this.

Once the demand (hopefully) dies down, I plan to stock up on ammo. I've got a few hundred rounds now, I will likely have a few thousand on hand going forward. I will likely add a few more guns to my collection, as well. And will start actually putting my ccw to use once everything opens back up.

I will always have a few weeks of food on hand, at least. I want to start collecting rainwater as I already have a purifier. We've got a large freezer in our garage, and already have a 1/4 of a beef heading our way in August. A generator is probably a good idea. I also plan on getting a small flock of chickens this spring once I get around to building a basic coop.

A little bit. Like someone said, living more in the now then the future. Also more prep, usually have a few cases of water in hand and a freezer in the garage of random stuff, but need more things, including a new gun and more ammo. Already have a generator (in case of hurricane), but need to buy more cords and accessories to really get the best use out of it.

I can see me making sure I always have a fair amount of food around the house. Previously, I'd hit up the local stores 3-4 times a week to get a few things and get in and out as quickly as possible. So, after stocking up before things got too wild, I've discovered it's kind of nice to only rarely have to go shopping and not have it be part of a every-other-day routine. Definitely now, with how stores are more at-risk locations than my house; but overall, too. Good to know that when it's time to eat, I have a ton of options on hand and can have a good bit more diversity than I usually do. Which also helps with not feeling the need to eat out or order something a few times a week.

LOL

I mean, I've been drinking too.  Not sure if it's "more," since I always drink.

Not changing routine at all. Would like to work from home more regularly though, but old-fashioned bosses never think like that. "Must be seen and/or heard..."

Not sure I'll change a whole lot.  We had TP and hand sanitizer on hand and should last at least another 30 days.

I do have an emergency fund for whatever reasons, but I may start another fund for the next time we get quarantined again, and you kno it will  happen.   Fortunate to be okay with working from home, aactually saves me a lot of money for not driving all the miles, but  will set up a covaid 26 find and a stock it TP just in case it hits when we were low on stuff.

I rarely use cash, and usually have less than $100 at any given time.  But I did decide to take out an extra $200 just in case, which would probably buy a week of groceries, gas,etc..

Probably not enough.  What do people think is enough cash to have on hand?

More I think of it, the change i will likely make is washing my hands more after coming back from a public place, like a grocery.   Usually was just after the bafroom or when they get dirty, but now I likely will be in the habit of when I get home from a place like the grocery.

Same.  I'll wash more thoroughly as well.  I'd gotten lazy with regard to how well I scrubbed my hands when I washed them.

I'd like to keep up with my current skincare routine. I'm usually bad about removing makeup and washing my face every night, especially if I've been out. Now that I have all the time in the world, I'm pre-cleansing, cleansing, toning and then using various serums and creams and treatments twice daily.
