Anyone traveling, or have already traveled, away from home for the holidays? Or, are folks traveling from afar to visit you?

We're leaving Cincinnati for sunny, tropical Newark tomorrow morning and will be staying until after dinner on Christmas day.

Got to Seattle yesterday and will be taking the redeye home Sunday night. Get to Chicago on Christmas Eve. My parents are coming from Ohio, joining us and in-laws. Then I’ll head to Nashville or Baltimore on the 29th, depending on outcomes of this weeks games (yes, Browns have a VERY outside shot of prime time game week 17), before flying into Traverse City on the 31st and drive an hour to my cottage to join everyone for NYE. I’ll fly out from Detroit to wherever our playoff game is.

I love the holidays, but the travel becomes even worse than usual because there is no downtime between everything. I’ll be exhausted.

Drove from Charleston to CLT wed night and then the 8 hour drive to Akron area yesterday. Rain stayed behind us so all in all if wasn’t that bad. Going to the Browns game on Sunday. Hopefully the weather next Thursday is good bc we plan on doing the entire 12 hour drive back...with a dog and 11 month old.

Going to my parent's in Millersburg tonight through Monday. It's only a 70 minute drive, so I can't complain. Coming back to Akron Monday and spending Christmas at our own house. My in-laws are going to Florida for the 2nd year in a row, and I have to say, I'm not sad that we don't have to drive to Dayton and back to see them. We'll get together with them sometime in January.

We'll be visiting my grandpa, brother, SIL, nieces, nephew and my dad on the 29th. That will be a 90 minute drive each way, but again, nothing major.

We rent a house for New Year's every year. Something within an hour of Akron, and this year it's only a 15 minute drive. Check in Sunday, check out Tuesday. We watch football, play cards, put together puzzles, eat an insane amount of food and get pretty drunk. Dress code is sweats and hoodies.
