Figured this could be its own thread. How high is it in your area? If you're not in Ohio please list your location.

Cincinnati just hit $5.09. It was $4.79 yesterday.

How long until we see $6 in Ohio?

It was $4.49 last Wednesday and my son and I took our Accords to Kroger station and used our Kroger points and got it $3.69…..15 minutes later it was $4.79 so we saved about $30

It’s currently $4.84

4.49 in coastal SC, and we have lowish gas taxes. Highest I’ve seen since I’ve lived here (8 years).

Don’t want to start a new thread, but has anyone looked at a vacation home recently? We live about 15 minutes from the beach but still always looking for something. Hard to time the market to not overpay.

We're going to Nags Head in a few weeks. Big house couple blocks from beach that 15 of us are staying in. Think it was about $5,500-6,000 for a week. But we made the reservation a year ao.

Start a new thread. Why do people not want to start threads? They're free.

It's $5.09 here as well.

My wife saw it for $4.65 at Costco. People were lined up out onto the street waiting to fill up, all to save about $7. This is one of the dumbest things people do IMO.

We are 15 miles south of Nags Head and there are 8 of us and ours was around $5000, but also booked 8 months ago

4.69 in Texas I’m sure it will go up soon as it averages about .10 cheaper then Ohio.

Not looking forward to driving from Dallas to Columbus in 2 separate cars this weekend.

I’m glad we booked our moving company before gas prices really took off or I bet it would have went up a lot.

All part of some master plan,  straight from the communist hand book.  Make people suffer and then when you give them crumbs they like you for it.  Gas will come down right before the elections.

Do you think the guy going to the gas pump in Singapore is looking at the higher prices and saying “fucking Biden”?

Got it for 4.74 this morning but the other two stations across the street were 5.09. I'm sure the price will have jumped by the time I head home.

True.  If he's an idiot, he may be saying that very thing.

Maybe in your mind, but if he is smart he understands what is occurring in the world's largest oil producing country.

Biden is a terrible leader, with that I do not disagree.  However he is in no position tomdo much with oil prices.  Our oil prices are set by the world market - especially since we started exporting.  Covid cut production by at least one third and drove many smaller drillers out.  THe domestic industry is sitting on over a decade's worth of permits that have yet to be drilled.  With prices this high, they have little incentive to do so until demand wanes.

Biden or any other president does not have a magic lever to change gas prices.  Sorry.

It definitely takes at least a few years.  His policy reversals won't start to have an impact for at least another year.

Although it's also true that producers think the current price pressure is transient, and so they aren't bringing wells on line that become unprofitable when oil goes back to $60.

Also, I'm not sure the grid can handle millions of more EV's.  Numbers I've seen floated are $2T to modernize that infrastructure.
