Flooding around the state...

Cincinnati is getting hit pretty hard, it's been a pretty miserable 4 days. Our basement started leaking tonight, mid-remodel, so that's pretty awesome. It's supposedly waterproofed, but this is the second time we've had water in the basement since we bought the house last May. Other people are having it way worse, the guy we talked to from AllState said they were getting tons of calls from our area.

I've seen some pretty bad flooding in Marietta and surrounding areas on Facebook. Anywhere else having issues?

We live on a hill in a historical home hundred-year-old house we don't have a sub pump. Our basement is leaking also the ground is just too saturated with water and it just leaking in. And the 40 plus years we've owned this house this is about the third time this has ever happened. We don't have a sub pump but I think it's time that I put one in never thought I'd need one living on a hill

Basically all of SE Ohio but especially the river towns. Pomeroy, New Boston, Proctorville, Ripley and others

Had a good friend go with her boyfriend to a job interview somewhere near the Ohio - WV border Thursday. They couldn't come back that night like planned because of the flooding.

We delivered my daughter her replacement car yesterday in Huntington (across from Proctorville and Chesapeake) and the river was level with the road....pretty eerie and glad I don't have to worry about flooding.

I saw OU cancelled classes Monday because of this. Would love to be on court street tonight!

Bad picture on 270 at southern tip (Rt 23 exit)

That stuff along with heavy rains in Pennsylvania could wreak havoc on the southern river cities the next two days.

I’m ready for sunny and 70

Mrs. Zunardo and I saw that this morning - by then the northbound side had receded somewhat, but you had to exit onto I-270.  Someone on FB said it had to do with drainage being messed up when they built the Lowe's store north of I-270.  I don't know about watersheds and such, but that stretch of US 23 seems to flood like that once or twice a year now.  I'm pretty sure it never did in the 1960's thru the 1980's.  My father says the only time he can remember it being shut down back then was the 1959 flood.

I believe the Lowe’s issue

A mess regardless...that’s my exit home each trip.

Just walked down the the river on my lunch break. It's pretty crazy, highest levels since 1997.

Last I saw they still were. I can see that one of the softball fields our league plays on mostly under water right now.
