This time of year I like to watch a couple creepy movies to get me in the mood for Halloween. What's a good Horror movie to watch?
My favorites: the conjuring, the strangers and the original Halloween

Lol. Nice.
Scariest: "The Serpent And The Rainbow". Honorable Mention: "Dead Silence"
For fun Halloween-type flicks I'm partial to:
Bonus - "The Screaming Skull" (1958) - a schoolmate of mine told me about this back in third grade, and a scene where a skull actually rolls on the ground and chases a woman. I remember thinking I'd probably pee myself in fright if I actually saw that. Finally did see it on TCM a few years back.. Talk about cheesy - but the scene where the skull "chases" was just like my buddy said. Glad I waited a while to see it, lol.
Halloween
Scream
Hellraiser. Particularly the first two, although a couple of the straight-to-DVD ones that were basically unreleased films they inserted Pinhead into (Inferno and Hellseeker) have their charm, as I'm a big fan of the "real or dream?" stuff in films.
Friday the 13th. ALL OF THEM.
Freddy Kruger is my favorite as a character
The SHining is #1

Freddy needs to go see a dermatologist.
I always go with Darkness Falls. Have to watch that again some day, but I remember it being the first horror film in a long, long time that actually was a little scary and suspensful.
I also recommend The Descent.

- "13 Ghosts" (1960) - why, the original, of course!
- "You'll Find Out" (1940) - only time Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, and Peter Lorre appeared together
- "The Ghost Breakers" (1940) - Bob Hope, sans Bing
- "Scared Stiff" (1953) - a remake of The Ghost Breakers, but Martin and Lewis make it fun
- "Murder In The Blue Room" (1944) - a fun re-make of "Secret Of The Blue Room (1933)
- House On Haunted Hill (1959) - Vincent Price, Elisha Cook, and walking skeletons? Yess!
Along these same lines, saw Evil Dead (1981) on SyFy recently and enjoyed it. Probably part nostalgia for that old, grainy type horror film.
More fun than scary. But it did drag on to the point where I couldn't take any more of the cheesiness.
The Exorcist has always been my favorite.
