The Belly family just spends spend and spends more... It is crazy We buy for every member of the family and my daughters buy for each other plus mom and dad. And kids.....to much Next year we are buying for the children but I'm suggesting that the adults do a gift exchange. Draw from a hat, can't get your spouse $75.00 max. Does anyone else do a family gift exchange... How does yours work? Does it work?

When we got together with my dad's siblings (9 total), the aunts and uncles all got the kids something. They did a drawing for gifts for each other, $5 or 10 back in the day.

They suck

We’ve abolished ours. We are hosting for CE and will have good finger foods everyone likes, have some fun drinks and a mess of scratch offs. White trash maybe...but better than $40 trash gifts no one is happy with.

CD we host and will have big traditional dinner

Only weird people, especially those who were fed Vicks Vapor rub growing up, don't do individual gift exchanges as adults.

Buying all the kids something is one thing.  When they are no longer kids, stop.

My siblings, in-laws and I do a gift exchange. We are up to 12 people and my youngest brother and sister aren't even married yet. No way I'm buying all of them, plus parents, nieces and nephews a gift. We draw names at Thanksgiving. Can't get your spouse, $50ish limit.

We just exchanged at our family Christmas last night. I got my sister and Indians hat and some sweats. My brother got me two concert tickets to see Nothing More.

I hate this holiday solely for the gift giving.  "Here is some shit that is useless.  Enjoy!"

Boycott it.

We do exchange, 1 for your Godchild, pitch in for a parents gift and that's about it
