Yup, a few build-it-yourself Gundam kits.

posted by AutomatikStarted a record collection last year. I'm only at around 20 or so. I only want stuff that's somewhat rare, limited press, or not availabily on digital. Also tracks that I would DJ in the future if I ever learn to mix vinyl, which is hard as hell.
I have several hundred records, most from decades ago (some beyond that) ................... a few may become rather valuable at some point, I hope.
posted by supermanMy son has decent collection of souvenir signed footballs and baseballs.
Bengals football with Carson Palmer and Jon Kitna
OSU football with Braxton, Zeke, Zach Boren, and Michael Thomas.
Baseball with George Foster
Baseball with Pete Rose
I'd say the best part of my overall Reds collection is my collection of individual autographed balls from the entire Great 8. I still need to add a Sparky ball before I consider that particular collection complete. Finding a decent ball of his isn't easy, unfortunately. I haven't looked in a while, but it does look like their value has dropped considerably in the last few years.

Everything my son has came from a personal meeting. I think that is the best part of his.
I currently have about 100 bottles of beer that I am trying to drink down. I also have a huge collection of beer glasses. And about a year ago I started keeping all my bottle caps to do something with one day.

That's cool. Only a few of my Great 8's are in person, but I have met most of them at one point or another through various events. I think Perez and Griffey are the only two I haven't met in person. George Foster is by far the best of the bunch.

Do you have any carpentry skills? Google "beer cap table"
Pretty cool, what you can do with a simple piece of wood and some clear epoxy.

Browse Discogs.com for some pricing ideas. HUGE money in used records these days. I'm regularly looking for rare 2-3 track EPs that go for $40+

I don't but this was one of the things I thought about doing. I've also thought about getting one of those bottle cap holders in the shape of a state or the USA.

Thanks ....will do!
A cursory look indicates I have a lot of potential value in vinyl. :)

I think the key word was were.
I have about 15 years of consecutive Sports Illustrated covers. Also have the full articles and pictures of anything that was Cleveland or Kentucky related during that time. At some point I might start trying to go backwards, only because it's not all that hard to do anymore.
STD's.....giggity giggity

I used to collect cigar wrappers. I was going to do something like this. We moved, and I think I lost them.
Follow up:
34 pairs of pants (not counting work out pants like sweats, ski pants, tights) but does count 2 suit pants.
33 pairs of shoes not counting flip flops, or slippers but does count cycling shoes, hiking shoes, water shoes.
I'm surprised, thought I had over 40 pairs of shoes, and probably around there with pants.

I worked in grill area at McDonalds during that time. Insane. Actually hired a person to simply answer the phone. They were free with a happy meal purchase...limit 5 happy meals per order. People would buy 5 thru drive thru, throw away food and hop back in line. Happy Meals were $2.09, $2.19 and $2.39 back then. Typically we would sell around 100 happy meals a day....during those times we’d sell around 4,000-5,000 a day.
People would sit out in lobby waiting for us to change to next number of beanie baby...when we did they’d all cheer and yell.
I stole several dozens of these sumbitches.
Hope everyone is sitting down for this...but I have a gigantic baseball card collection.

That is insane, lol. My brother has every Topps complete set from 1980 on, none of them ever opened. I thought he was crazy, but geez.

Exactly. Don't collect them anymore.

I haven’t bought hardly any since 1996. My son and I enjoy looking through them. I was a touch obsessive from about age 8-18

Man, imagine seeing that in the Guiness Book of World Records in the foreseeable future.

Same. My grandfather used to take my brother and I to get many. I still have my complete box set of Topps 1996. It's been opened, but the cards are still in mint condition.
But 200K? I have MAYBE half that, and I thought I overdid it.
I don't really collect anything in particular -- more of an "if I want something, I get it" person, but what I want doesn't tend to lead to me collecting a lot of any one sort of thing.
I have a few DVD'd TV shows and movies, but not enough to be a collection (more cheap-ass horror films than a sane person would have, but not enough to say I have a crap cinema collection, for example).
I might be able to say video games, since I have a large backlog of games I haven't even started yet, but I wouldn't call it a collection because it's nowhere near as large as it'd be if I hadn't traded in so many back in the day. If I kept everything I'd ever bought, I'd have a few hundred laying around the house. Probably have at least 150, but that includes all my old Atari 2600 and NES games I have in boxes because the actual systems no longer work.
