"Taxpayers" are never victims as they are never entitled to one penny's worth of my production. Ever.

Don't use any govt services or drive on taxpayer funded roads, then fine don't pay taxes.  Otherwise, that's known as theft, and it's hardly a victimless crime.

Sounds to me like the crime we're talking about here should be called "over-taxation", if the point being quibbled over are all the victims of not enough taxes being paid.

Better, get rid of all of the "Argumentum ad Governmentum" services, which is just about all of them. All of this time to come up with a response, and the best you could do is "Muh Roads!"?

Next time you have dinner with Justin, feel free to skip out on the check.  Victimless crime.

So even though I pay several times in taxes more than those paid by the average taxpayer, and infinity times more than nearly half the population, I shouldn't use the services even though I would prefer most of them to go away? That's a ridiculously stupid argument, even by your standards. If I have to pay for "muh roads", I'm going to use them, even though the private sector has proven better ways to accomplish the same thing.

You think tax evasion isn't baked into the taxes everyone else pays?!?

Tax dodgers are victimless crimes?  Fucking moronic.

Again. You are REALLY bad at this.

How did Gut take arguing about fines on victimless crimes to evading actual taxes? He started with one argument, and somehow ended up three states over. Growing pot in your backyard for your own personal use is quite different from not paying taxes.

Your argument shifted from growing a pot plant isn't victimless because of taxpayers to, somehow, it being tax evasion to break a law? Talk about moronic.

Your logic is that ALL laws are justified because an imaginary taxpayer will be harmed from the state not collecting the revenue generated from the arrest.

gut, explain to me how jaywalking on an empty street isn't a victimless crime? Is that not taking money from the taxpayers because the state didn't generate any revenue from it?

That literally isn't a crime. And I'd be more than happy to pay the full bill.

If a manager of a sit down restaurant comes out to fix a problem (slow service, missing order, poorly prepared entry etc) and uses the excuse that they are short staffed...he/she should have to donate 1/2 his night’s salary to the waiter/waitress of your table.

Likely not an excuse, and the reason for being short-staffed is already 99.9999% government, so no new law is needed.
