Whenever it becomes available, when do you plan to take it (if you choose so)?  Plz b hnst. 

For the sake of clarity, let's consider November 2020 the beginning of Covid season #2 and l am assuming the vaccine is ready between sometime between Nov-Jan.

I'll wait 6 months-ish. I'm in no rush. 

If COVID keeps lingering (which I think it will), and I have to be concerned with going out in public for the next year+....I'll probably get it sooner than later. 

I've never been a flu shot person. Last year was my first. I only got it because they gave it free at work.

For some reason links are now always white. Not sure why that started happening. I'll look at it tonight.

I'll probably have to have it ASAP to continue to work in the office and in the field.

I am at the wait 1-2 months approach, mainly because we like to travel.    I have been getting my flu shot every year since I can remember.  My dad was in the military and it is free with my work.  

Do you think documentation will ever be required to travel? It's somewhat happening now. It's needed in PR for sure, and I believe the Bahamas.

If I am a foreign country, I would want any American to have proof before they enter my country..so yeah.

I don't think it will happen in the EU.  They are already are very lenient with EU to EU travel now. This has been a terrible tourist season, and it might be their worst season of all time.  They want that tourist $$$. 

I voted for wait 1-2 months, mainly to make sure no large unforseen reactions to it. I do get the flu shot each year, either bc work does it for free or wife was pregnant and now with children.

Unless you work in the public sector or healthcare, most on this board won't be in line to get the vaccine for at least 2-3 months.  Just how supplies and distribution are going to work.

Eventhough I can't remember the last time I was sick, I started getting the flu vaccine a few years ago.  It's not 100% effective, but still might make your symptoms more tolerable.  I figured I wouldn't want to be miserable and bed-ridden for days unable to kick myself for being too lazy to get the vaccine.

By the way, by "public worker" I meant teacher, cop, fire fighter, legislator, etc... people literally paid by the govt.  They'll probably be in line first after healthcare workers, then the elderly...then probably school kids (and college), even though they should be last but it will be to reduce spread.  After that, it will probably go people under 60, then 50....us 30-40 somethings will be next to last to get the vaccine.

I'd get one right away.  I'll take my chances with adverse effects.

I agree with the way they will probably roll it out, but when I say "when available," I mean when it becomes availably personally to you. 

I'd probably pass. 

I'm not anti-vaccine, but I would be weary of putting something into my body that was accelerated through the testing process.

Plus I'm relatively low risk for COVID complications, so if the shot were found to be safe, someone else should get it before me.

That's an interesting question.  Assuming it's only 60% effective, closures and restrictions will need to remain in place for some time in order to get herd immunity by vaccinating everyone.

We might get back to normal by April, if we're lucky.

I work in healthcare so I will have to take it ASAP.
