Allen is definitely a defensive force but when he goes 20/10 you can almost bank on a "W."

He opens up the offense a ton as well, its not even a question. One of the top screen settings in the NBA, and taken up a notch even more with Mitchell this year.
Yeah, they have that pick n roll down to a science.
They gave up a 19-0 run over the final five minutes to lose at home to Sacramento.

That's one they should not have let slip away.
At least they held on the next night.
Losing to the Spurs will not go down as a good loss.
They need to learn how to win on the road.
Good guys get a needed win over the Mavs on the road. Luka did his usual thing for Dallas but looks disinterested in remaining with that crap show.
Ill probably eat my words here in a few days, but Dallas is a dream matchup for Cavs. Luka is amazing, but they are so Luka dominant and usage rate that it becomes easier for the defense. He kills you by getting the D to collapse and ability to create space 1 on 1. Maybe the best in the league. But Cavs have guys who can stick with him enough, and we have bigs who can switch and stick with him. Plus, we dont need to collapse the entire defense when he drives, just let Allen/Mobley do it alone. You could see how much he struggled even though he got 30.
Played 7 very good to great quarters in Texas, and 1 awful one. Unfortunately it cost them and a 1-1 road trip. Time to make hay with a 6 game homestand. 4-2 would be good, but hoping for 5-1 and 6-0 would just be amazing.
Luka out I think helped the Mavs vs Cavs. But, got the W. 2-0 to start the 6 game homestand. Had to have these 2 and Jazz. the 3 after are tougher (MIL, TOR, BKN).
20-11 at this point and 3rd in the East. Solid start.
Best part is a double win (Browns/Cavs) for the hometown fans.
Great weekend for the Cavs with two comeback wins. I was at the Pacers game Friday and it was a great atmosphere. I really like this team.

Quite a 4th qtr for Mitchell
Big game tonight vs a bad team to keep the momentum going into some huge matchups.
Cavs hold on at home to beat the Bucks. Was getting a little dicey as they almost squandered a 16 point lead heading into the 4th. Bucks cut it to 5 but Cavs put it away at the end. Mitchell was a stud, as usual, but 4th quarters seem to be a bit of an adventure for Garland.
Cavs are looking solid.
I think their ceiling is the conference finals, without some help. Don’t think they can hang with Milwaukee (4-5 game series). Boston would probably beat us, but would be 6-7 gamer.
Anyone else in the EC and I think Cavs would have a great shot to advance.
Toronto definitely has the Cavs number.
The Cavs are the only number they have. They and Miami have been a bit of a disappointment so far this season.
Too bad they couldn’t get a Christmas game. Next year they should. They and New Orleans would be better than the shitty Lakers and Warriors. But I know that wouldn’t be good for ratings, either. Mavs - Pelicans and Cavs - Grizzlies would have been more entertaining.
Big game for Cavs on Monday though.
Brooklyn is an offensive tornado this first half. Cavs need to work the ball inside.
Nets without Nash are terrifying. Garland was on fire tonight, but Mobley needs more post touches.

Nets are terrifying. They keep this up and they’re going to be formidable. Cavs fought like hell after being way down - a great sign of the team’s character

The Nets shotmaking was special. Kyrie and Durant even hit some wild ones, which ok, kind of expect that every few games. But Yuta, Warren, etc -- while good players -- hit some TOUGH shots, that were very well defended. That happens, they will gentelmans sweep to the Finals.

I hope the Cavs continue to progress with Mitchell and Garland continuing to learn each other’s games. If t go at occurs, then to hell with Brooklyn gentleman sweeping us - maybe we win!!!
Tough loss to the Pacers. I hope Garland’s injured hand is okay. Three L’s in a row…
New Years Eve win in Chicago could help get thing righted.
The shooting against the Cavs right now is absurd. Probably go 3-0 with normal shooting against them.
Numbers bear it out too, we have defended the 3 the best of any team in this stretch -- only 12 per game, of Wide Open to 6' closest defender -- which is the lowest total in the league. Yet teams have hit 70% of those shots, which is about 40% higher than league average. So not only are we giving up the least, teams are still making the most. And that doesnt even take into account the absurd shot making Brooklyn displayed.
