Dish washer my best investment ever. Before the dish washer I was the designated dish dryer or put away-er....since the installation of the dish washer I am free of all dish type duties. Not sure why but I’ll take it.
posted by like_thatIs anyone else OCD/anal about the dish washer? That's probably the one thing I am more anal about than my fiance. She just throws shit in there (all of my former roommates did this as well) without any method or organization. It drives me crazy. Also bonus to the dumbasses that put shit in the dishwasher when it doesn't belong in there (pots, pans, nice knives, etc). I had a roommate almost run the dishwasher on my very nice chef's knife and for a split second I wanted to stab him.
Edit: also, if you put shit in the dishwasher you need to give it pre-rinse. Fucking hate when people put dishes in the dishwasher when it has a shit ton of food on it still.
There are two ways to load a dishwasher. My way and the wrong way.
And, ETB:
From the book Shit My Dad Says:
There are two ways of doing things. The right way or the bull shit way. Guess which one you are doing?
I am laughing about how so many of us care so much about this.
To all others: It's serious.
100% on the dishwasher thing. My wife used to put dishes in there that wouldn't have come out clean after 10 cycles if I hadn't taken them out and re-rinsed them. I've harped on that enough that it's no longer a problem. She still loads everything into inefficient locations that don't allow us to optimize the dishwasher space if I don't rearrange into locations that actually make sense.

He better hope he doesn’t have a sister lol
I'm definitely a highly organized and ritualistic person. I swifter my floors every day and do a good sweeping and mopping once a week.
I dust downstairs every other day and dust the upstairs the other days.
My bookroom is organized by topic and then alphbetical order by title, not author.
I change my bedclothes once a week or right about the time I can't smell the Downy anymore, whichever comes first.
I'm also one of those people who does the spring/summer/fall/winter cleanings which includes washing down walls, dusting inside the china cabinets and bookshelves in my library (pulling the books out and wiping down covers down), washing windows, etc.
I was raised to be house-proud so it's just ingrained in me. Also because I keep on top of it, it doesn't take hardly anytime at all to get stuff done. It also serves a purpose since it definitely keeps down problems with my mother's breathing problems with the least amount of dust laying around.
Personally:
Shower every morning, many times a bath at night to relax, it also helps me to get a little bit better sleep. But I only wash my hair every other day.
Downside: I often find myself wearing the worst of my clothes to lounge around in when I'm not going anywhere. Shirts with holes in them, no bra, etc.

Reading this was weird. The whole time, I'm thinking, "This guy is really clean/neat. He takes baths too?" Then I got to the bra part, and I completely forgot you were a woman, lol. Stereotypes, they're a bitch.
