Ohio is a good place to live if you like city living and don't want to pay much for it.

Supply and demand - no one with a choice lives either place

Not a fan of Cincinnati Traffic. Cleveland is much easier to travel.

Traffic can absolutely suck here. Other than that, it's a pretty delightful city.
I have lived in both places - Cleveland for 8 years and Cincinnati for 1 year. I prefer Cleveland. Born and raised in Columbus, I felt like I was still in the Ohio I was familiar with while in Cleveland. To me, Cincinnati is not part of Ohio - it's kind of it's own place. It is more Kentucky than Ohio. It's a very nice city in many respects. But it is very clannish. It reminded me a lot of St. Louis, another place I lived for a few years. If you are a native, those places are the greatest in the world. If you're from elsewhere, it's kind of hard to find your place.
Eh, I'm from central Ohio and Cincinnati is great. We've made great friends with Cincinnati natives as well as transplants. I can definitely see the "clannish" nature ("Where'd you go to high school?" and East-side vs West-side), but IDGAF about that kind of thing so it's never been a problem.

It sounds like you've found a home. My experience was based upon only one year there.
Yeah...I've lived in Cincy for 20+ years...never completely gotten used to the whole "Where'd ya go to high school?" thing here.

Gotcha. I've been here for 12 years now, so a third of my life at this point.

Very nice. I loved it.
Cleveland has a special place in my heart. My biggest complaint about Cleveland is the way natives complain about it. They can be ruthless, yet they never leave. And if an outsider disparages Cleveland...look out.

It's like our little brother. We can pick on him, but nobody else can. You are right about the natives being ruthless. I can't tell you how many people I know who went to Cleveland for the first time and not only they were pleasantly surprised, but they loved it. Between the natives being harsh on themselves and the media getting their cheap shots in, most people have no idea it's a pretty cool city until they get there.
