This looks pretty sweet. I haven't been to Cedar Point in roughly 17 years, but this might be enough to get me back up there soon.

the thought of having to wait 4 hours to ride this makes me already hate it.
I used to get a season pass every year when I was younger. I'd go 8-10 times/summer, and I still don't know how I pulled that off since I was too young to drive myself there. I still tried to go once or twice a year during high school and college, but I really fell off after that.
I went twice last summer after a sixish year hiatus and had a blast both times. We stayed open to close the first time, which I quickly realized is no longer for me. Fun, but also exhausting. It was a weekday in mid-July, and I didn't think any of the wait times were bad. The longest was about 75 minutes for Maverick. The 2nd time, my girlfriend and I were there for about 7 hours, which was just right. It was a Sunday during HalloWeekends and once again the waits were fine. The app is helpful because we just picked rides with the shortest lines.
My favorite time to go is on a weekday in mid-May, before kids are out of school. You can walk on almost every ride.

To COA's post, if I went up it would have to be during this period. No young kids, no lines. I'd be miserable surrounded by teenagers in long lines.

Yeah, it really is the best. On multiple occasions we've ridden every ride two or three times by 6 pm, and at that point it's like well, we might as well leave now.
Oh and I guess I never really addressed the thread topic...I'm very jazzed for the new coaster.
I moved from Bay Village to Alabama a couple of years ago. There are a lot of great things about our new home. But something I miss horribly is Cedar Point. We usually had season passes since it was about 40 minutes door-to-door. I love that place to no end. It may require a special trip up to Ohio this summer.

To add on to Fab and the T,W,R prior to school out:
1) School field trips usually have the buses leave at 7PM, after that time period, line fall for all rides, take a break in the middle of the day to avoid that mess
2) If you get there to start the day, skip the front of the park coasters: Raptor, Gatekeeper and even Valrvn. Head to Maverick and Steel Vengeance, work way back to Millennium and Top Thrill.
3) Valrvn's line will drop exponentially every half hour after 7pm
As a season pass holder. I'll look for when it is going to rains mid-afternoon to plan our trips park clears out after a storm
I haven't been to cedar point since 2013. It's probably the biggest thing I miss from Ohio besides lottery tickets. I had a season pass every year from 2003-2011 and went 10ish times a year. I think the longest I've ever waited was 2ish hours for any ride which really wasn't that bad. I don't think there was ever a time I went and didn't get to ride everything I wanted to unless top thrill was down.
Halloweekends were always my favorite time to go through.
Last time I went in 2013 I got the fast pass since they had just came out and it was 100% worth it. I think the longest I waited was 30 minutes for any ride.
That new ride looks great. I really need to just plan a trip to cedar point but need to lose some weight first sadly.
