How long have you had your drivers license and how many cars have you owned in that period?

I've been licensed since May 1999, so almost 21 years.

1987 Plymouth Reliant (thru HS)
1989 Honda Civic Hatchback (thru college)
2005 Ford F150 (new)
2009 Ford Fusion (new, but mostly driven by my wife)
2009 Subaru Outback (bought in 2014, I think)
2018 Subaru Outback (new)

The Outback will be my daily driver for a while. At least 6 more years, hopefully longer.

Licensed since 2001 -- got my license a month before 9/11. Gas has only risen since then.

  • 1995 Chevy S-10 (2001-2004; dad bought it new)
  • 2001 Dodge Stratus (2004-2010; grandma bought it new)
  • 2010 Kia Sorento (wife's graduation present from college; my daily driver)
  • 20?? Pontiac Vibe (had it for a few years before a deer ruined it; hit two with it)
  • 2010 Dodge Caravan (got it when the Vibe got deer'd; still have it, needed it for 3 kids)

I've been driving for 51 years, so my list would be too long.  Plus, I would probably forget some.

But........we did get a new car right before this pandemic (still driving on the temp. tags).............2020 Honda Passport.......it's beautiful.....

black copper pearl with lots of bells and whistles

Speaking of temporary tags, warning: I went through the car wash and the plastic numbers and letters got blasted off.  Had to get a new one.  Was told at the BMV that there has been a lot of trouble with this batch of temporary tags.  Was advised to put new one inside the car in the back window.

Got my license sometime in 2001. Can't remember the month. I didn't have my own car until May 2002.

1990 (or maybe 91, 92 or 93) Geo Storm. Was a hand me down from two brothers. I only had it a couple months before someone fell asleep at the wheel, hit it, and smooshed it between their car and a telephone pole while it was parked in front of my house.

1994 Saturn SC2

1999 Toyota Camry

2004 Chevy Trailblazer (a big day moving into the 2000s!)

Got mine when I was 17 (so December 2000).

1991 Plymouth Acclaim
1996 Ford Ranger
2001 Chevrolet Impala

Technically, we have two vehicles now, and both are even in my name, but I never go anywhere, so I don't think of either of them as "mine."  But they're a 2010 Toyota Rav-4 and a 2015 Chrysler T&C.

Bought it for $250.  As a 17-year-old whose parents wouldn't buy me a car, I wasn't able to be choosy.

It was nicknamed "the Blue Bomb," though.  It was janky, and we all knew it.

I'll come back to this when I feel like thinking and listing everything.

But there was a time when I had this gem. 91 Ford Tempo in lovely brown.
