Breakfast of Champions

I recently found a new breakfast that I've been eating pretty much every morning.

Large sausage patty (typically 1/3 of a 1lb tube of Bob Evans mild sausage)
Mashed avocado on top (1/2 an avocado)
Fried egg on top
Doused with Frank's RedHot

Delicious and keeps my full until lunch. I had been eating microwave breakfast burritos for a while, but they were pretty terrible and barely filling.

What is your go-to breakfast?

I don't normally eat breakfast. I haven't since middle school. But sometimes on a Friday I'll have a Pop Tart.

I actually love breakfast food, but not in the mornings.

Great book, possibly the worst movie I've ever seen.

I'm a yogurt guy most weekday mornings. Weekends tend to be a mix of classics (bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc.).

Haven't read it yet, but it's on my list.

That's a heck of a lot of sausage, but if it works for you, hey ...... ..... actually, the whole thing sounds pretty good.  And I love avocado.  I'm not a huge fan of sausage, probably would sub with turkey, bacon, ham, etc.

My routine is eggs, turkey bacon, and coffee.  Occasionally some toast..

Ha, it's probably a bit too much. I will probably start dividing it in fourths going forward.

Usually, I cook up an egg burrito. Two eggs fried on the stove with mushrooms on a burrito wrap with cheese and with jalapenos, bacon bits or chunks, sour cream and hot sauce on top.

Eggs cooked in coconut oil with sliced avocado. Sometimes steak & eggs. Take in 20g's or less in carbs per day, no sugars if possible. Higher (healthy) fat = satiety

"Go to" would be an English Muffin with some honey on it or some oatmeal with honey....grab an apple or orange and usually 20 oz of water and I'm good.

Don’t typically eat breakfast (maybe a few times a month). But when I do, fried egg and English muffin.

I usually eat breakfast. I rotate before a fruit/veggie smoothie with PB or savory pastry from the bakery 2 min from my house. Prob skip breakfast once a week or so.

Usually just coffee, maybe sometimes a Belvita biscuit. This week I’ve been making overnight oats while trying to be healthy, it was fine.

The best grab and go I know to beat the "hangers" in the AM is a hard boiled egg and a banana.

Most mornings it is a Greek yogurt and a peanut butter granola bar.  Some days will be a bowl of cereal.  Fridays a donut.

Favorite - Sausage patty, 2 eggs over easy, toast

My friend at school eats something very similar to that every day when she arrives and said the same thing about keeping her full until lunch

Does she follow the paleo diet? I got it from searching for paleo recipes. I'm not following it strictly or anything, but trying to incorporate more meals that are paleo into the rotation. I did pretty well with it way back when so I'm giving it another shot, at least partially.

As BR stated, it has to do with satiety.  Sugar and grains that turn into sugar make your hungry despite the amount of fuel they may consist of

I am only hungry in the morning if I eat sugar the day before

She does not do paleo. She avoids sugars and keeps her from wanting to snack all morning. The male teacher in our lunch group does paleo and he’s pretty irritating about it lol
