I've away wore good shoes, back in the 70's I started wearing boots. First pair was Frye cowboy type.. loved those boots  Few years ago because of a injury it was suggest softer sole shoe, gym shoes and or Croc around the house.. Little over two year I tried. My feet and ankles hurt, the diabetes burned and stinging feeling was always a issue.

I went back to my hard leather sole boots. I only buy Clark, Bass, Cole, Frye  and Ariat  boots they seem to do me the best.

Are you a boot wear? What Brand do you prefer?

Are you a Brand name clothing buyer?

I own a pair of Double H boots, I believe they're called ranch wellingtons.  Nothing fancy, just good quality leather and construction, and they look good.  But I can't wear them more than 3 hours or so without my feet really hurting.  Good for church or going to a card party, but that's it.

Same with dressy hard leather-type heels and shoes.  I wore hard dress shoes last weekend for 8 hours while working a concert.  I looked good, but paid the price after I got home.

For everyday wear, I go with New Balance 605's.  They're not stylish, but they fit my high instep well and give the heel and toes great support.

Holy shit, I have something in common with Belly. I'm wearing Clarks Desert Boots at this very moment.

I want some Red Wings one day. Oliberte has also caught my eye recently.

My work boots are Red Wing. Work boots I have to have steel toe and metatarsals and with all that extra weight I will only wear Red Wing with the internal metatarsal that is the impact gel in the tongue.

Very lightweight and comfortable for a boot that is supposed to pretty much be encased in metal (steel toe with metatarsal steel plate).

I don't own any boots never been a boot fan. Only boots I ever had were Red Wings for work and they were very nice.

As for clothes I don't really care about the brand just mostly if it fits well.

I've got a pair of Thorogood boots that I like a lot. Extremely comfortable and are holding up well after several years of wear.

Most comfortable have been Nike SFB but they were non compliant.  Their replacements were okay but nowhere nearly as comfortable.   When getting the new color I tried on a dozen diff pair and the best of the bunch was Propper.

Big boot fan, wearing some Chukkas at the moment. Lately I've been into Chelseas, my favorite brand being Common Projects. Simple, clean lines are where it's at with boots.

As for beater boots, I have timberlands that I've had since 2004 that I still wear least once a week during the winter. I've got a pair of Chippewas that I got on a steal of a deal, but they're not holding up. Big wrinkles in the toe bock, easily scratched, not that comfortable.

With these, make sure to keep an eye on their sales. I've seen them go for steep discount a few times a yr.

I just missed 50% off last week. By the time I saw it, didn't have my size.
