We're all getting old af these day. Since the new school year has kicked off recently, I'm curious to hear any funny or interesting stories you can remember from your school days.

I did PSEO part of my senior year. It’s a good concept but I scheduled it wrong. I’d go to high school half day each morning then to the local community college in afternoons which was about a 25 minute drive. The way the schedule worked out, I had like 90 minutes inbetween the two so I’d go home and eat lunch and it was ALWAYS a challenge to make myself go to college classes. I think I ended up ditching it after one semester and just doing high school the full day.

We had a history teacher that no one liked. One year her husband was running for district judge, so we got every campaign sign/poster/flyer we could find for her husband's opponent and covered every inch of her classroom with them.

My junior year, the varsity players had the option of “free study” the last period of the day. We had full access to the weight room and a class room with desks and the entire gym. This was a free for all and we had very little supervision from the gym teacher and were generally left alone and told not to get in trouble. One day about this time of year, one of the guys brought a few habanero’s in with his lunch of course we started daring each other to eat one. In everybody’s group there is an undisputed idiot and ours was a guy named Harvey. We took up a collection and gathered up a little more than 5 dollars and promised it to Harvey if he ate it seem seeds and all. This pepper was huge. It was about the size of a medium Apple.  Harvey stuffed it in his mouth in just a couple bites.

His face turned instantly red. He was making gestures towards his neck to suggest he was choking. People were rolling on the floor laughing. The dude started to turn blue. In a panic he ran to the teachers desk and grabbed a “big gulp” styrofoam cup that was sitting on the desk. He took a couple drinks off of the straw and instantly spit up and puked all over the desk. 

Apparently the cup was filled with vodka! The teacher heard the commotion and ran into the room. We didn’t narc him out because he was one of our asst coaches. We extorted his ass the rest of the year and he didn’t return the next. Apparently he was an alcoholic as he was fired from  a close by school system.

2 months after getting my license I was cruising the cruise route in my grandpa’s Porsche (it was old and not good looking)….got hammered by an asshole going the wrong way in the parking lot….stood outside my car for 90 minutes while police took forever and every friend in school driving by. I finished strong tho A’s Homecoming dance was coming up and I asked a girl way outta my league that night as my embarrassment couldn’t be any worse. Got me a homecoming date.

Actual school? It was about 1990 and had a computer’s class with a 70 year old dude that was a walking cigarette. He’s give assignment and leave last 30+ min of class. He has a bulletin board of the standard keyboard but it was made out of those foam big mac boxes. We took those old computer disks and would whip them across the room destroying that keyboard bulletin board.

We got out for lunch and it was a race to your car and a crazy race trying to beat everyone else to the restaurant of that day. We drive like crazy people and kids would just never return to school. It didn’t last much longer.

And I liked about 60% of the girls lol

We had a bullshit economics class first period that our teacher would have us meet at Bob Evans for breakfast for the class sometimes. On these day a group of us would drive around before going to Bob Evans and smoke pot. Your high wore off before lunch and it was never an issue.  Till one day they brought a drug sniffing dog in. Luckily we had smoked everything and he left his bowl in his car, but our jackets smelled like pot. And the dog went crazy. Stopped at each one of our lockers. Which also smelled like pot from our jackets... but nothing to be found luckily.  They wanted us to drug test but the one buddies dad was a lawyer that he called and he came down and stopped that from happening.

Now they spread them over 3 days in stead of 2. When they still had it over 2 days they split it among 2 stadiums after the 1996 and 1997 seasons.
