I watched avengers infinity war last night and I thought it was good but not great. These are my unorganized thoughts this morning.
I would not necessarily rate it higher than Captain America civil war or Black Panther. I think one of my main issues is that I had sky high expectations it was never going to meet.
It definitely had some funny moments but l also thought it tried a little too hard in some places. (When the guardians found Thor, I thought they were trying a little too hard)
And then they didn't look for more survivors? Maybe Thor only survived because he's a God but I was disappointed Valkyrie was gone. I was not sad to see Loki die.
I like comic books and comic book movies but I'm not such a geek that I will get offended if they change things. Maybe this is how it went in the comic books, but it seems to me that the Hulk is a big pussy that is afraid of Thanos because he got his ass kicked. That seems out of character for the Hulk I know.
And they seemed to be just handing over the stones every time Thanos threatened someone. Gamora gave up the location of the soul stone to save Nebula. They tried to destroy Vision's stone but too late and then Thanos used the time stone to undo that. And then Dr strange didn't love Tony but he gave up the time stone to save him. I know Strange hinted at that being the only way to stop him but it didn't even seem like they were trying. I feel like they could have used the time stone much better.
My final issue, which is more my issue for not knowing. I didn't know this was part one so I was left with a very dissatisfied feeling of no resolution at the end.(kind of like civil war) I'm hoping they can make that pay off in the next movie.
