I like the idea of the Ultra but I’ll probably wait until the next version before deciding to get one. I have a 6, I think.

I have the SE. i have no plans to upgrade any of my apple devices this year. My watch isn't perfect but it works good enough for what i use it for. the last 2 phones have let me down and it took them almost a full year to get the 13 to where i could actually use it as a fucking phone so i'm gonna ride with it until something compelling happens on their phones.
if there is an insane deal on iPad during this holiday season, i'll jump on it (i haven't had an iPad since covid started and i gave mine to my son to use for some app he needed for school).

Anyone cop the new Apple Watch Ultra?
My Series 5 watch battery is crapping out, barely lasts a day and I'm annoyed. The new Stainless 8 and Ultra cost the same. I'm just conflicted. I've tried the Ultra on, size doesn't bother me, but it sure it gaudy. I'm not a diver or extreme sports anything. I also have a ton of bands that would fit the 8, that would now be useless if I go Ultra.
So what to do?
All signs point to the Series 8.

We had to run to the mall today so I stopped into the Apple Store and tried on the Ultra. That thing is sick. It's huge, but it's not very heavy and doesn't look ridiculous on my wrist.
