Sounds like a regretted pandemic purchase. I bought a Trek bike around that time as well. It was a mountain bike (starter level). I then tried mountain biking for the first time at age 50. I went twice and practically killed myself both times - with scars to prove it. I paid $680 and sold it for $500 to get it the hell away from me. I threw in the brand new helmet for free.
A horrible purchase on my part, but it was a better midlife crisis purchase than a Corvette or something.

Shoulda went with the Vette lol.
I only regret buying a hybrid. I didn't think I wanted drop bars, I was very wrong.
I just ordered a road bike today that I've been trying to find for weeks. I simply don't have the space for two bikes. The Trek is currently on the wall in my foyer. If I tried to hang another in the apartment my gf would murder me.
Bike demand is still pretty high and should shoot up more when spring comes. If it was April I could probably sell this in a day.
I'm sure you'll get what you want for it. If I recall, you're in NYC, so I would guess you could recover your investment quickly because there are probably thousands of new COVID bike riders all around you.
