Prime Day starts today at 3pm EST. Any deals you're on the lookout for? Any known deals you plan on jumping on when they go live?

I haven't seen anything great yet or that I need to "watch". I might pull the trigger on their 50 inch Toshiba tv for a guest room.
The only thing I know I'll be buying is a new smart bulb or two from tp-link. If there are any great deals on golf gear or homebrewing equipment I may jump on them.

What does a smart bulb do? And do you need the correct “extras” to use it?
I have a bunch of outlets connected to Alexa, but just have regular bulbs in them...

We have a smart bulb in each of our bedside tables. They are similar to the plugs that you can control with Alexa, it's just built into the bulb directly, instead of plugging the lamp into a smart outlet. It is also dimmable from the app, which is really nice. It can also autodim based on the time of day, so it's never too bright for what your eyes are expecting. Nothing extra needed to use the bulbs, no hub or anything.
These are the bulbs I like: https://www.tp-link.com/us/products/details/cat-5609_LB120.html
i'm not looking for anything specific. but i might pull the trigger if a great deal pops up.

You know, I wouldn't mind a motion-activated LED. I keep my bedroom pitch black, and the lights are kind of inconvenient.

I feel like they might detect tossing and turning in the bed, which would not be good. We just have to say "Alexa, turn the bedroom on" and we have light.
Justin, did you ever get a tic-watch? I'm pretty sure it was you that was looking into them.

I did. I liked it okay, but I don't really wear it anymore.

I have an older Samsung gear fit 2. I'm not sure what the other options do that justify replacing it. It tracks my steps and sleep, and gives me notifications. Other than that I'm not sure what a smart watch can do or if I would use it.
I hear a lot of people are having problems getting into prime day, like being able to see any deals.

My wife just said she was having issues. I've been seeing everything fine so far.

That's the one I'm thinking about.

I'm having issues getting in as of 3:00. I can still see the deals that I watched earlier but I get "something went wrong" if I try to view anything else. (I've tried turning off my wifi and using a browser instead of the app. Neither helped)
Oh wow, I might be spending some money on smart bulbs lol.
Any idea how long they last?
I was able to successfully order a Garmin golf gps watch. But now the site is acting all sorts of screwy.
is prime day any better than it has been in years past? It felt like a clearance asile at big lots the last time I checked. great deals on stuff nobody wants

There is certainly a lot of crap being sold most years, but if you have a list of things you're in need of you're bound to find something on sale. We picked up a sous vide, vacuum food sealer, and cordless vacuum cleaner last year, all items we were already planning on buying. Saved decent money.
I haven't had a chance to browse much so far this year due to the site crapping out. It's almost as if I developed Amazon or something.
I tried to buy a new portable charger, but the site/app wasn't cooperating. I'm not going to waste any more time on it.

Yeah, apparently they had a system-wide crash. All kinds of problems. Guessing Bezos will have someone's head!
The site seems to be working fine now. Anyone end up buying anything, or did you give up waiting for the site to work?
I bought some dumb "green Toys" for a bday party coming up. All the good deals I was watching were claimed almost instantly. Still debating on their Toshiba Fire tv
I bought a book.
