Tomlin's approach is to try and hang around and win it in Q4.  He's said that almost verbatim, probably a few times.

So in an offensive league, scoring points and jumping out to a lead is somewhere around priority #5 for Tomlin.  That will put you in the hunt for 9-10 wins, but does little to prepare the team for playoff opponents.  And that's what the people really paying attention have come to accept until PIT gets a new HC.

Also, for being such a "good coach", Tomlin has NEVER had a coach he developed hired by another team.  He has NO coaching tree - no one hiring his people because they like what PIT does and want to copy it.  Me thinks most of the league realizes those two SBs are more attributable to Cowher's coaches and players than Tomlin.

Media loves the guy, though, which is where most of the hype comes from.  What he's put on tape tells a different story.

CJ Stroud is good. 

Daniel Jones is not good.

Been saying this for a while now....obviously the Bengals are good but the Bills are soft as Charmin. Finesse team all the way.

Jets winning the AFCE with Zach Wilson this year would be hilarious. If they beat the Chargers tonight, I'll believe.

Still think the Chiefs defense would slow them down but KC's offense is not impressive.

Also think it's very possible that Baltimore reps the AFC in the SB.

Baltimore has been impressive against two of the best in the NFC the last couple weeks.

I listen to a betting podcast who was all over both these games. His metrics said that Baltimore absolutely destroys the type of defense that Detroit and Seattle play. And, here we are. Didnt expect Seattle to struggle so much on offense, but Goff struggling was predictable. 

Also kinda funny to me that we are talking about Geno and Goff leading the two of the top three teams in the NFC. Woof.

I'm not sure how all of the tie-breakers work. If the Jets win tonight do they slot into the 6th playoff spot? Better division record, same conference record, better SOS and SOV. Would be better than the Bengals in all of those categories as well.

It’s the chargers. They’ll blow it. 

Jets are still in it, but I don't think they can let the Chargers score again. Defense is usually great in the 2nd half so hopefully that stays true.

Points are points but dammit that drive started out too good to settle for a fucking FG.
