Was just reading today that 9(?) people have died in Florida the past week due to drowning from unusually strong rip currents.

Sounds like that may have been the case.  If a 35-yr old pro athlete can succumb, not something you want to mess with.

In some cases, the beaches were double-red flagged, meaning closed to swimming and punishable with up to a $500 fine.

A lot of people don't know what to do if they get caught in a rip current. It is easily manageable if you don't panic and swim with the current you will come out just fine.

Unfortunately most people panic (it just happens), and then fail to swim parallel to the beach until they're out of it.  Always good to have a boogie board or some flotation device with you at the beach in case you have to go out and help someone.

That too, but the worst thing someone can do is to try to swim right back to shore. Guaranteed problem right there.

Panic is real when that water takes over.

Loved that guy.  His role in Glenngary Glenn Ross was my favorite one of his.

Yep…I always listened to the countdowns back in the day and they’d mention that fairly regularly

Someone shamed a bunch of celebrities for not speaking up in support when Sinead flipped out and got sort of blackballed.

I remember when she ripped-up that photo of the Pope....I imagine if she did that in today's environment, the Left would praise her for it, and all the late night hosts would be lining up to hear her thoughts.

I'd think the Right would have to love her. I mean, they're all about calling people "groomers" nowadays and she ripped up the picture in order to protest against those sorts and how the church was covering up their acts. Sounds like a perfect match!

Supposedly had a heart condition, then caught COVID which triggered a heart attack. That's what I initially heard. This is the second member of the Wyatt Family faction to die as Luke Harper (name in the faction) who wrestled as Brodie Lee in AEW, Passed in 2020.
