Don't forget the one dipshit cunt at CNN who told some dude to check his white privilege...except said dude was black. There are way too many commentators on these networks who've seen Hannity and think that if they can pull off a left-wing version of him, they can be celebrities in their profession, not understanding that when you imitate a jackass, you become one because they're so tone-deaf.
LOL, I almost forgot about this. That was a great listen.

Media is calling this shutdown “Trump’s doing“ and saying how he is holding federal employees hostage till he gets his way. But when Obama had a shutdown, it was “republicans refuse to give in for Obama’s healthcare plan for the American people”
if you can’t see there’s a media bias, you’re probably part of the problem.
It sucks for the current people who are shut down, but the bill passed to have them back paid at least. At the very least they know they will be getting their money. On the flip side if a business "shutdown" (aka go out of business), everyone would lose their job and there would be no large paycheck to look forward to in the future. I have a hard time believing these people feel bad for these employees right now.
Also, during Obama's sequestration, many federal employees were furloughed one day a week for 10-22 weeks (depending on agency) and they did not get back paid for those days. I didn't see the media victimizing these people.

I suspect that you'll see the rise of the podcast. You get maybe one 30-second ad at the beginning and long conversations where people have the chance to get into the nuance of their positions rather than grandstanding before a hard break.
Frankly, maybe that's just better anyway, particularly given the seeming effort to report without slant. I know it's not completely possible, because our slants are, at times, even subconscious, but at least guys like Cronkite made an effort. As it stands, I think we should have, as well as listen to, MORE nuance within our political discourse. Not less.

The same IIhan Omar that was saying Lindsey Graham is gay also said about Israel "Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel. #Gaza #Palestine #Israel". Rashida Tlaib is another one. There are also a few that are part of the BDS movement.
I mean, bitching about Israel isn't the same as bitching about the Semitic people. Technically, there are more Jews in New York City than there are in the nation of Israel.
Still, this woman is obviously reading her religious views into her politics. People would shit a brick if Lindsey had posted something almost verbatim and subbed in "God" for "Allah."

Two things can be true. There is certainly a media bias, but Trump claimed "credit" for the shutdown right up front.
I just meant the way they’re reporting the two shutdowns are polar opposites.

Yeah, I agree with that. Putting your religious beliefs openly into your politics is generally lame. Don't give a fuck who or what you worship, but have your work revolve around representing us, not your fervent belief in whatever magic sky entity you like to pretend exists; primarily because people tend to twist faith into meaning whatever they want it to mean. But with the term "anti-semitism" thrown around, I was expecting something a lot worse. Calling open criticism of Israel "anti-semitism" is the same weak sauce the equally big bitches on the left were doing when they were trying to say that open criticism of Obama's policies was "racism".
I would say aligning yourself with Louis Farrakhan, which several democrats have is problematic and not "weak sauce."

NYC restaurants cut hours, staff due to minimum wage hike
Employee hours have been reduced in 76.5% of full-service restaurants in New York City and 36% said they also had to eliminate jobs in response to the city's minimum wage increase, according to a survey of 574 restaurant operators done by The NYC Hospitality Alliance. The survey also found most limited-service restaurants plan to reduce hours or eliminate jobs in the coming year as a result of the wage increase.

No shocker here. I don't know how many times the government raising the minimum wage has to fail for people to finally get the picture.

It simply has to be ignorant liberals that want to display their ‘open-mindedness’ and cultural and religious enlightenment who elect these radical Muslims. I don’t see the trend reversing any time soon.
Quite possibly true. What about ignorant conservatives who elect radical Christians?

While I wouldn't disagree with that, that also wasn't mentioned in the post I was referring to, which simply was tossing out "anti-semitism" labels to people who don't seem to be fans of how Israel's government operates and/or is supportive of other nations in the region. Which is as factually accurate as saying a person is racist because they didn't agree with Obama's policies.
I understood your post. The whole point of my original post is the dems get a pass on anti-semitism and if the roles were reversed this would not happen.

I didn't have time to go through everything. Aligning themselves with the women march leaders until recently, who both aren't sure Israel should even exist. The Farrahkan stuff, etc.
Also, the same party calling Graham gay and apparently mad Pence’s wife teaches at a Christian school, has Muslim reps who are much more intolerant of the lb whatever letter group it is now.

Lol buzzfeed tried taking down Trump today and it was so badly sourced that even Mueller’s team had to come out and shoot it down. But hey, journalism.

They want it to be Kamala. Checks all of the boxes. Tapper having her have her own town hall on CNN. Too bad she’s a moron and thought the Knights of Columbus are an extremist group (among other thugs).

Matters little in the grand scheme, as AOC says the world is ending in 12 years.
SMH, the video of people clapping while she said this dumb shit is just absurd. The dumbing down of America.

Trump: "We're gonna build a wall, and Mexico is going to pay for it!"
AOC: "We're going to build a clean, renewable power grid and redistribute wealth, and the rich are going to pay for it!"
Mexico and the rich: "Nah, folk. We're good."

So New York has legalized late term abortion (and shitty white women actually cheered the news). Pretty fucked up.
