A new makeover of a classic board game celebrates women’s empowerment. 

“Ms. Monopoly” is an upgrade of Hasbro’s “Monopoly.” 

In this version, female players will make more money than their male challengers.  

Women collect 240 Monopoly bucks every time they pass “Go.” 

Men, meanwhile, will still get the usual 200 bucks.

My guess is that it's supposed to be a booby prize for the fainting couch feminist types to build their self esteem.

Thoughts: It's a board game. Why the fuck would I care? My attention span struggled to handle real Monopoly, so this version sounds like I'd just get eliminated sooner and be able to move to the true fun: drinking heavily and heckling whoever was still active in the game.

So... is Hasbro trolling, or are they trying to make a political point?  It says they made a "tongue in cheek" version, "Monopoly Socialism."  

Hasbro's C-Suite is made up of 8 people, 7 of whom are men.

Basically, it doesn't matter.  This is out to make money, and it will.

Do they have to pay 20% more in rent also?

Still wondering about the "upgrade" part.
