I know that of the four categories, that was the one that had me surprised a bit, mainly due to how dominant Progress was since I tend to hate modern progressives because they're so annoying they inadvertently hurt their causes and turn slam dunks into missed layups all the time.

I wonder how scientific it really is.  Asking someone if they think computers are good for society is completely disconnected from what it means to be a conservative or progressive. 

A scale of "tradition" vs. "progress" is itself loaded/biased.  As opposed to the others, tradition and progress are not mutually exclusive.  Also, regulation =/= socialism.  Recognizing that market distortions necessitate some level of regulation doesn't move one closer to socialism/equality.
