Delphos St. John's def. Ada 34-31 in OT

Defensively I feel Ada is stronger this year than last. Offensively probably not, considering they lost one of the top QB's in the area and had to pull the top reciever to play his possition, really does drop them down a notch offensively.WebFire wrote: I was at the Ada/Carey game. I don't believe Ada is as good as they were last year. I think DSJ will win by 3 touchdowns.
This is just my opinion. Don't hate me for it. -
killdeerDSJ looked strong and not really challenged against Arlington and Leipsic.
Ada better defensively against Carey than I expected...basically beat Carey at their own game.
Despite the Bulldogs offensive rep...I don't think they will have enough to get by DSJ.
I don't expect a blow-out however, and if Ada can play DSJ the way that Carey attempted to play Ada, it may be a closer game than expected;
I'll go with 21-14 DSJ. -

dont think it will be a one touchdown game imo... i watched ada and dont think they can come within two tds of coldwater
DSJ by 3 tds + -
tank2nastyI like Ada if DSJ can beat. Them noone will challenge!
I'll take Ada in an upset but not really!
21-18 -
BlueJayRayI would guess there were a few Jays carrying the football with them where ever they went this week, as a reminder to hang onto the ball this weekend. Unless Ada D can pop it loose a couple of times, then recover it in their red zone, I don't think they can make a game of it... Too Deep ,...Too Fast, ...Too Strong, ...Too Disciplined. The Jays take it up another notch this weekend - I'll say 42 to 14. They are now rated 36th in the entire country according to the Freeman Ratings. Scary to think that the meat of the team are only Juniors!

devil1197If DSJ holds onto the football (which I know they will) unlike Carey they will win by +21. Ada's defense was able to create turnovers when it looked like Carey was going to score. DSJ won't make those mistakes and that won't be good for an Ada offense that sputtered against Carey.
-
Auglaize99Ada's offense didn't do well against Carey's defense. Is it clear that DSJ's defense is as good or better than Carey's?
DSJ's depth is a concern for Ada.
As far as common opponents, didn't they both beat LCC by 7?
DSJ has to be considered a clear favorite, but there could be a case made that this will be a close game. -
mattinctownDSJ wins 34-31 in OT, congrats to DSJ, and great season Ada!!!!!
-
devil1197Ada got up big on DSJ but they battled back to win the game.
-
WebFireWow. I didn't see that coming.

devil1197For those with Time Warner in or around Findlay, the game will be played at 11 pm on channel 14.

girevikI was shocked when I didn't see a phantom interference call when Ada had the ball in OT, I was even more shocked when I didn't see a phantom holding call when the Jays had the ball in OT.
-
nw-indian-dadWho was this Phantom guy. Wheres he playing next year? He sounded pretty crucial in the OT tonight.

dsjfanOne of the best games I have ever seen, and also one of the worst officiated games I have ever seen

I agree. With Ada leading 28-20 and around 4 minutes left in the game, Leininger broke off a huge TD run. Jackson was getting ready to knock him out of bounds and a receiver blasted jackson in the back and Leininger cut back inside for the score. There was no traffic at all. Just those 3 players so I have no clue how it was missed. It happened right in front of his face and it probably shouldn't have even went to OT.dsjfan wrote: One of the best games I have ever seen, and also one of the worst officiated games I have ever seen
It was a great game though. Both teams left it on the field and it could have went either way. Ada came out like mad men and jumped all over DSJ. DSJ battled back and came up with one more big play. I'm not sure DSJ will be challenged like that for the rest of the tourney. Good luck. -
Soda PopinskiGreat game. Uno Quatro again comes up big for Delphos.
-
Joey OThe game was great. The venue was good. The teams played their hearts out. But the refereeing was absolutely embarassing. Missed calls, mystery calls on penalities that didn't happen. You'd think that bad referring would not happen this far in the tourney.
Ada you have nothing to be ashamed of, it was a great game for all. IMO, that game was for the state title. If Ada would have won, I don't see ML stopping them.
As for the game next week, it will be hard to beat a team twice in the same year.
See you next week in Wapakoneta. -
Simon10Great game from both teams.
Heath Jackson is one heck of an athlete. -
Auburn FanWhy do I feel and sound like I just watched a Hearns vs Hagler or Ali vs Frazier fight? What a great game by two well coached teams. Just got done watching the replay and I am still in awe of how the Jays held on long enough to pull it out.
Bulldog posters please let the new huddlers know how Mcbride is when it becomes available. He played hard and it was just rotten luck on the injury.
Too bad Ft Loramie did not play better tonight. Go Jays! -
MessyDinosaurNot surprised Ada held it close. I said to myself if anyone can beat DSJ it will be Ada (almost was). Anyways sounds like it was a good game, congrats to Ada for a good season! I'm hoping the Flyers get shot at DSJ in the finals, and become the Redeem team.

newarkcatholicfanSounds like this was another great game.

Was definitely up there as far as great football games go. Aside from some crap calls against both teams and a few mouthy fans in one end zone I thoroughly enjoyed watching.newarkcatholicfan wrote: Sounds like this was another great game.
Something tells me ball security will be a big factor in the DSJ practice schedule this week. -

If anyone can record that game for me I would pay money for a copydevil1197 wrote: For those with Time Warner in or around Findlay, the game will be played at 11 pm on channel 14. -
