Ridgewood Football 2010
-
GeneralssWhat does ridgewood have coming back and how good are they going to be???
-
general94My prediction: Another IVC Championship and Playoff berth. I'll say 9-1. Plenty of talent coming back, and an undefeated J.V. team last year. Bellick is a stud, and Lingo will be running over people, and Davis (has turned into a very nice QB) has another year under his belt. I think the line will be a little bigger this year, I just hope they have as much heart and guts as last years group. I think it is safe to now say that the Wood's program has evolved to the place where they don't rebuild, they just reload every year.
-
newarkcatholicfanI too believe they will be in the playoffs again.
-
tigerfan82all you need to know is nothing flies like a chicken!!!!!!!!!
94, good to see you over here. Ask 99 who finally won the IVC pick em last year...........have the boat all lined up -
Doc Holidaynon league going to be a serious issue. Buckeye Trail Steubenville Catholic and River View, may not get a total of 2 wins all together out of that trio.
-
FairwoodKingSteubenville CC has been down the past few years. I expect Ridgewood to win that one. Where is that game going to be played?
-

Agreed, I wish Shadyside was still on the schedule. They are good for at least 5-6 wins every year. I also see the IVC being weaker than last year. I think Garaway and maybe Strasvegas are the only other teams in the league that will be any competition to the Wood. It may be another year that the Wood will have to go 10-0 to get in.Doc Holiday wrote: non league going to be a serious issue. Shame it's not going to be in Steubenville. We have one of the nicest stadiums in the state.general94 wrote:

rightfieldLingo will be a stud on both sides of the ball. Ridgewood wins the league again and goes 10-0 again.
See you at the playoffs! -
sebastianTiger, Doc is saying that those 3 teams may not win 2 games the entire season as they are horrible. Non-league schedule is going to hurt this year.
94, I see you predict 9-1 but to win the league. Curious as to who you think will beat the Wood? -
tigerfan82Thanks Sebastian...........my mistake, I mis read it.
-
pretenderI believe that they only way the wood loses a game next year is if they get to cocky. As long as the coaches keep the team growned, then we should have another steller year for the record books. I also hope that next years team has the heart that this past years team did. One question who will be kicking next year both kickers we used this year were seniors who kick for the JV team I forget.
-
tigerfan82I just want to know where the chicken, djordo, and all of the past huddlers are????????? Is free to hard to spell over jj ..........??????????????
-
GoChiefsSome people believe it or not..just never got the memo about freehuddle..so they are clueless that the site even exists.
-
triviaThe Wood will struggle next season IMO. Losses to Garaway, Malvern, and possible Strasburg. 7-3, no playoffs.
-
DaWood Mad Man
I am glad that you feel so highly about The Woods program that 7-3 is a season in which they "struggle". All other teams in the conference would be happy with a 7-3 season. By the way you are dead wrong. Ridgewood has lost 2, read it again, 2 conference games in the last 7 years! They will not lose three in one season.trivia wrote: The Wood will struggle next season IMO. Losses to Garaway, Malvern, and possible Strasburg. 7-3, no playoffs. -
tigerfan82trivia..................hahahahahaahhahahahahahahahahaha, thanks for the laugh. Tell me when the last time Garaway has beaten the wood????????? Malvern has lost a ton, probably won't be a top 3 or 4 team in the league!!!!! Now about those Tigers!!!!!!!!!!
-
general94I think trivia might be smoking something.
Malvern - lost starters at 21 out of 22 positions I believe, and J.V. team was horrid.
Garaway - good sophomore class if they all come back out, but not much Senior leadership, and as always coaching will be a disadvantage.
Strasvegas - great young talent is growing up, but not sure if they will have enough depth to stay with the Wood.
Tiger, I would love to see the IVC title decided when the Wood and Strasvegas hook up at old Franklin Park this year. I promise I will make the tailgate this year too!! -
tigerfan82I will remember that 94...............I think we will be barbequing Chicken for that game
-
heWASinI hope that you wont be eating BBQ Rubber Chicken! Yuck!
-
tigerfan82no rubber or "flying" chickens.........
-
triviaRidgewood will soon feel the pain of losing its athletes. This will be the start of that trend. Garaway WILL beat Ridgewood this year regardless of what you think. In addition, regardless of what Malvern loses year in, year out, they always give the Generals all they can handle. Watch out for the Tigers too.
