No, I hate Big Red. I have respect for their program, but absolutely despise that entire community. Some of my most favorite sports moments were knocking Steuby out of the District 10 tournament two years in a row as part of the Tuscarawas County american legion baseball team a few years back. I just wish I got a chance to play against Steuby in football.tank2nasty wrote: Will any of you tornado fans be around to congratulate Big Red and wish them luck for the rest of the playoffs or will you all just disappear like in 06?
And if Dover wins next week, I could give a damn if anybody from your steeler loving town showed us the least amount of respect. -

They really self destructed when Dover was up 21-7! Passing stats are deceiving when you run a 5 wide offense! They had 83 yards rushing on broken plays. They also had a fake punt for a whole bunch of yards so stats are deceiving sometimes. I guess it might be like the 10-6 score at halftime.tank2nasty wrote:

Its gonna be fun ending their season again!
A world free of Dover fans for at least nine months!
Can't wait!

Salem was never threatening to do anything.
Check the stats they read domination! )
Your game on the other hand spells domination for NW before they self destructed! -

I like how the Lil Red had trouble with themselves, of course it had nothing to do with Salem. Yet Dover only won bc NW self destructed? IF we wanted to compare opponents, NW would beat Salem by 3 TD's.tank2nasty wrote:

Why was Steubenville having first half trouble with Salem. Did the referees and pass interference or defensive holding have anything to do with it. -

That's not the same scenario!BEAST 0332 wrote:

NW stayed in that game due to execution!
Salem stayed in the first half due to penalties and
a couple of uncharacteristic turnovers!
That game should have been over in quarter 1!
Not to mention Coach Sac didn't even open up the Playbook! -
bigredbaseball0Anyone from either team who thinks this game will be a blow-out is mistaken. Dover is the one team I personally did not want to see Big Red play. If you have been at many Big Red games, you can see there is a little trouble cover the 4 or 5 WR sets teams run. Also I would not say either team had trouble this past week. Dover was up 21-7 in the second half and NW came roaring back to force over time before Dover dominated the OT. Big Red beat itself in the first half. 2 turnovers on the first 2 possessions, and a number of 15 yard penalties. The second half they finally woke up and turned it on. I will say we can not afford to do that against Dover or Mooney.
On an interesting note it should be fun watching a game where most people would probably wish both teams could lose. -

A guy who doesn't have blinders on! Like I've said time and time again... Steuby is the team to beat and to be the best, you have to beat the best! Dover will go through anyone and everyone who gets in their way! -

How about we compare Marlington, oh wait they beat NW too! And they didn't need OT!september63 wrote:

footballerThis gochiefs has to go as a mod. Everyone join me in pm'ing his idol. "The Creator" haha
What formations/o philosophy does Steuby run? Similar to '06 with the multiple formations/motions/trades/shifts? -

It's the same. At least against Massilon. They mauled the tigers, but that was in Harding.footballer wrote: This gochiefs has to go as a mod. Everyone join me in pm'ing his idol. "The Creator" haha

If you really do not know anything about these two programs and you are going to mod this thread all week you are in trouble.
I know there rules and all but I think you are choking them with the rules and for heavens sake stay out of the middle of it.
Let these guys go at it. It may get heated but they will keep it clean and huddling isn't always about football. Let them do their thing or freehuddle.com isn't really freehuddle at all. Just my two cents.
I'm out.
Go Dover from New Phila. -
milehiiuWish I knew more about Big Red this year than I normally do. But I have been following Dover for over five decades now. And if there ever was a Dover team I would not be afraid of pitting against Big Red, this is one of them.
Hell, it isn't even Sunday yet, and already I am pumped !
Regardless of who wins, I am looking forward to a great game . Some of the best that the great state of Ohio has to offer. Who could ask for anything more ? -

Thanks swimmer. Spoken like a true Phila fan. You know if the roles were to be reversed, this Dover fan would be pulling like heck for ya this coming weekend.just_a_swimmer wrote: Gochiefs

TY....I agree. Let both sides say their crap and if someone hangs themself to the point of a ban, do what you got to do. But a mod getting involved in debating ppls posts wont fly very far. The bickering between Dover and Lil Red will continue all week, but no one will get harmed or die from it. It is what is!! -
footballerHuddling has NOTHING to do with football!!! The ones who understand that have fun.
