Steubenville def. Dover 28-14
-
captvernhow big are Dovers running backs and qb
-
J-DoverAll average about 6'4" and 225lbs. BIG BOYS
-
bases_loadedBeast is a cheerleader who adds nothing to this thread. Freehuddle wants to be taken seriously. He is no good for any serious thought.
-
bases_loadedCome back beast. Big red ran is bored and want something to laugh at.
Big Red fan. What's your one weakness that worries you going into Friday night? -
S.B-RedAnybody else tired waiting for this game?
-
kcbigredmthWho is Dover's best player?
-
ManO'WarThe only thing that worries me is Big Red's health...a healthy Big Red team can play with anyone in the state.
-
bases_loadedDovers best player is the quarterback. But last week it was maz. Without his play last week hard to say were playing this week. The team is a little different than the past few years. There isn't really a go to guy but there also really isn't a guy who is a liability on the field or ever makes you think "if it goes to him were done"
-
captvernManowar IMO you are correct on both statements.
Does Dovers QB play defense? What do you guys consider to be your weak point -
bases_loadedHe plays linebacker too. If we are healthy we can beat anyone in the state in regulation.
-
tank2nastyMamarella is an excellent player he is similar to Macon a bit bigger and slower but he makes good use of his legs !
Dover is not as bad as I was making them sound but from what I've seen in the three games i watched they are not quite on Big Red's level. This Big Red team is as good as any we've ever had,but the discipline in this team is not as stellar as years past!
If we play to our full potential I don't think there is a team left that'll beat us! -
bases_loadedThanks for the honest answer. Not some BS that the only weakness is health.

Really? and what if any of the remaining teams play up to their potential? Dover, Mooney or DeSales for instance?tank2nasty wrote: Mamarella is an excellent player he is similar to Macon a bit bigger and slower but he makes good use of his legs !

september63Fair enough. I am sure those 3 teams all believe they can win it all too, if they play to their full potential. Or in some cases, play the best game of their lives.

I mentioned BR injuries in a prior thread and feel the same way...if we stay healthy and play inspired (e.g. Massillon) I think we can run the tables.
I also think we would match up extremely well with Mooney and would love another shot at them...but if the team starts thinking that way Dover advances. Trust me, we have plenty of respect for what you've done this year. -

september63game will also be webcast @ www.wjer.com

ManO'WarIf a team has to "play the game oof their lives" or "the perfect game", then they are not beating that team 99.99% of the time, since that is almost impossible to do.
-
milehiiuI agree with those that say Mamarella is Dover's best player. He is just good all around.
If I were to pick a surprise pick to click for Dover, it would be Rickie Maz. HIgh energy motor, just waiting to have a bust out game. -

Agree. That comment wasnt meant for either team this week. I was thinking about Dover or Steubenville playing Mooney or DeSales this year.ManO'War wrote: If a team has to "play the game oof their lives" or "the perfect game", then they are not beating that team 99.99% of the time, since that is almost impossible to do. -

Big Red beat Mooney pretty bad last year without playing the game of their lives.september63 wrote:

september63Congrats on All of your big wins, in the past. I am referring to this year for all teams I have mentioned. just like 06 when you beat Dover by 3. means nothing to either team THIS year.
