"The last week at OSU has gone very well. Danny was off the vent for several days but had to be placed back on because they were worried about him getting pneumonia again. His coughing has improved althought it is still very painful for him to do it. Tonight they put the trach collar on again and he is breathing on his own. As long as they can keep his lungs clear he will be able to stay off the vent. Physical Therapy has been going well. He sat in a chair for the first time in over 5 weeks on sunday. Yesterday they had him sit on the edge of the bed, with help, and he got in a good 7 minutes of sitting up on his own. Danny is begining to realize the full extent of his injuries but although at times he has seems very distant he still manages to smile and laugh."

How is this young man and his family doing? Well I hope, it's been about a month since our last update. -

I have driven past his house numerous times the last couple weeks and on the weekends there has been a large gathering of people there working to make improvements to the house to make it more accessible for Danny. I am not sure if he has returned home yet or not. If he hasn't it appears that he will be doing so sometime in the near future. -
