What's up with that? Watch the coaching staff throughout the whole highlight video.
Talking about the Haven head coach. He threw a fit screaming in the face of #7 and went on and on, his own fans told him to shut up. The crowd was dead silent too, that's probably what made it so bad. A head coach should never loose it like that.

I won't say good game, because it wasn't. Many things factored into the final score which culminated in the 21-10 score we seen at the end. Logan came out flat footed and it is a shame that they had to get "smacked in the face" to get their minds in the game. Best of luck to Pat, but there is only one thing I have to say regarding his injury. Where in the heck was his leadership??? After he got knocked out he stood virtually in a 10' diameter circle (except for a few test walks/jogs). I am sorry, but if you get knocked out, you have been told that you would not go back in (which was obvious), and you stand there like a bump on a log. Pat was supposed to be a team captain. Which means he could/should have been talking to HIS offense in between possessions, picking their heads up, and helping to point them in the right direction. He did none of that. His motivational factor was 0. If he plans on furthering his career in football at the next level, he better get his leadership skills in order. Leadership is more than passing the ball, running it, and telling people plays. It involves being a leader ON and OFF the field. Being a leader in times of greatness and in times of adversity. When adversity hit him and his offense last night (after he was knocked out), his leadership went out the door. Logan did not have a FIDO (military acronym) mentality at all. Talent like we have comes around, at this point, once in every 8 years. So 2017 is our next "year". Until next year everybody!!!

I think the Logan effort after Angle went out was outstanding. The defense was hitting big time which turned into picks, and fumbles caused and recovered. Logan just has a one track offense and if you don't have a gun slinger QB you're screwed. Both sides where playing hard and hitting hard. Good luck to Brookhaven, they has some talent. That #9 DE, #57, and that little tailback to name a few.

One game and you blast him like that? I said on the "Pay to Blog" huddle that Logan had not faced a defense like Brookhaven. At least 3 Division 1 recruits on that side of the ball. I knew it would be tough. But as far as Logan, great season. The better team last night won. It was about ATTITUDE last night. And the WILL to win. The # 9 is Derrick Bryant and a UCLA commitment.

I also thought Logan's effort after Angle was outstanding. I certainly detected no quiting on the field. The difference was that there was not the same talent on the field. As to Angle's leadership, I think the whole of the past 2 years speaks to the fact that he was the leader of this team.

I did not doubt the effort in which Logan gave, especially after Pat went out. Nor did I say that Brookhavens D would be a push over. I also didn't say Logan quit. The D, ESPECIALLY after Pat went out, played a H3LL of a game!!! The offense got exposed for being very reliant on one person. So there is no reason for trying to put words in my mouth or say that I am tearing on his entire career for what I witnessed after his injury. I don't doubt the leadership that Pat has given on the field the past 2 years. I have been there EVERY GAME, home and away, to root these boys on. However, like I said, leadership should also be evident in times of adversity and you cannot tell me that he showed one ounce of leadership after he got knocked out, because he didn't. Am I saying it is his fault that we lost.........H3LL NO! The multitude of things I was talking about that contributed to the games outcome were a very good D from Brookhaven, some crappy officiating, the loss of our "field general", etc. These boys played their heart out and they should be commended for that. Like I said, the only thing that I was disappointed about from Logan was Angles reaction after he got injured. Other than the offensive coordinator, he is the MAN that knows this offense the best. So instead of watching from one end of the field and doing nothing, do the best to assess what you see and assist the O cordinator in all ways possible. Even though he is a player, he is also a coach and a motivator of his teamates as well. When I served in Iraq, I seen leaders go down. However, they kept their focus to the best of their ability to continue to lead, motivate, and complete the mission. That game last night was Angle and Logan's "Iraq". Is it an apple to apples comparison? No, because getting shot or hit with shrapnel is a lot different than blowing your knee out. However, it is a good analogy and I stick by my assessment. GO CHIEFS, HOLD YOUR HEADS HIGH, AND PICK UP WHERE YOU LEFT OFF NEXT YEAR! My Junior and Senior years of high school, the original "Logan Locos" fan section from the 2000 into the 2001 seasons born the motto that at Logan "WE DON'T REBUILD, WE RELOAD". Well it is time to RELOAD guys. 9 1/2 months till the battle begins again!

I didn't realize it during the game but when I saw the paper Haven completely dominated the stats in every phase not even close! From looking at that, the right team definetly won the game. One thing that I was wondering was why they pulled Jurgensmirer after only one series, seems they have no confidence in him at QB because they did the same thing in summer workouts,,,if they don't trust him why play him there,he has decent moves and agility so put him at wide reciever or running back and let someone else do it,,makes me wonder what in the world is going to become of this team next year....

So the City League has knocked out the top two teams. Maybe they are better than everyone, including me , give them credit for. Go 'Haven go MF!
They made a believer out of me,we should have known that from last year when Eastmoor smacked around a loaded Sheridan team,I was originally scared of Haven when I saw how they played Davidson so tough, but looked at the Walnut Ridge tape and it fooled us !!!! BTW I thought I read where Angles injury was just a strain.....

they found one of are weakness, are corners arent good cover cb,too much 15 yards off the reciever that long pass play killed us ,wasnt even close on coverageoh well still one hell of a year.look at the talent they had the last 3+years,id say last years group better d-this years group better offensebest of luck to all the boys.

Congrats to the Chiefs on a great season. Each and ever member of the team has reason to hold their head high. I refuse to blame anyone for anything that happened in this game. It's a game, things happen, both good and bad. However, I am extremely ticked off that anyone would criticize a hurt Logan QB for not continuing to lead his team after he got hurt. Do you actually think there is any kind of advise he could have provided to anyone that would have been of benefit? First, his leg probably hurt like the dickens. Second, don't you think the kid was probably watching his H.S. career flash before his eyes. I'm sure emotionally he was drained from both the game itself and the ridiculous hype that was heaped upon his shoulders. He's been an excellent leader for this team-never lost his cool regardless of the situation, and took all the pressure without faltering.

    Stand tall Chiefs!!!!!!!!!

I think the Sheridan-Eastmoor game was more about one player. The QB was so elusive the Generals couldn't bring him down when they got to him...often. Most the Eastmoor big plays were on broken plays. Logan was just over-matched at several spots both in size and speed. The last time Brookhaven dropped down into D2 they won a state title, it wouldn't be a big surprise if they repeated that effort. I'm still sticking with my original pick, Toledo St. Francis DeSales.

I'm going to go with Winton Woods,,they were the team that I thought all along would end Logan's season but we never made it there!

Any chance to see a Louisville-Logan match-up in the regular season? I know the Leps have an opening next year.
  • Boomhauer
Boy I would sure to like to see that ! Unfortunatley were booked up next year but come calling the year after and we might be able to hook you up, since Hammy is leaving the schedule,,,,,prison guard i agree,I said before the game Haven would probably exploit us on that long pass and they did,Amyx just loves to crowd that line stop the running game and pressure the quarterback but in the playoffs you got to have a saftey or 2 back there or its a recipe for disaster, hopefully he'll remember that next playoff run that comes around but its works for the team they play around here....

Boomhauer is correct..Logan's schedule is already set for next year. So it won't happen. What week does Louisville have open? Who are they looking at to fill it?
  • irishball25
I know that had one open date not sure if ravenna or hoban left the schedule. I was just thinkin how cool it would to this be a regular season match-up between two good programs who respect each other. I'm kinda out of the loop since I did not pay the twelve dollars.
  • lhs_iraq_vet
purplehaze.....It has nothing to do with "adviCe" that Angle could have given. You are strictly focusing on the thought of "adviCe". I am speaking of words/actions of motivation, sideline leadership, and yes some adviCe to those playing his position and leading HIS team. Am I saying that any of this would have altered the outcome of the game, NO. However, ANY words/action of motivation, sideline leadership, and adviCe is better than NONE! Whether you like it/know it or not, along with talent, coaches at the next level look at things like this in their recruiting efforts. I am tired of people treating these seniors like "boys" as though they are in Tomahawks. Are they in high school? Yes they are! But people should give them the credit of the MEN that they are. Along with that credit comes honest ADULT assessments. It is time that we start treating them like men because that is what they are when they hit this time in their lives. Does a high school diploma make you a man. No it doesn't and we need to get away from it being a "right of passage". These guys (seniors) know the difference between right/wrong, good/bad, and being a leader. It is people like you purplehaze that don't prepare young men to be the leaders of tomorrow. For all we know, any number of these guys on this team and guys their age across the country could be dying for YOU in Iraq and Afghanistan next year. There are men that were on the gridiron in HS last year that are sleeping in a shanty tent getting mortars lobbed at them and bullets shot at them every day now. So start treating them like the MEN that they are and not babying them. So don't get offensive and angry at me because I am giving an honest "leaders" assessment that if taken in the correct context (your not doing), would be seen as an assessment that is meant to provide a "learning experience" It is not about hurting feelings, it is about preparing them for LIFE. Start doing it!

Would be nice..but frankly..with it being almost a 3 hour travel distance..I really don't see that one happening..granted..like does..well..did..they are now off our schedule..make the long haul down to Ironton..which is about 2 hours..it was replaced with Portsmouth I believe..which again is about 2 hours..but I don't believe the Leps travel anywhere near that time now for a game..let alone almost 3 hours.
  • Boomhauer
I doubt Janey would want to schedule it, for travel reasons, but I know I would make the trip ! How many starters does Louisville have coming back next year ?
  • 74Leps
Louisville will be good again next year, lost defensive line and offensive line, but Lucas Poyser, Chad Neff, Mitchell Sluss, Schooley - play makers, will be back, and Louisville does a good job of reloading. QB Toby Minster will also be back as a senior. Louisville may have to reinvent its offense a bit to be as dangerous as they have been on O the last few years. Neff and Poyser will be juniors next year.

Louisville lost two on defense who should both be Div. II All Ohio first team - Joe Poyser and Hunter Potts. Poyser had 17 qb sacks, while being double-teamed every game; Potts was NBC player of the year as a linebacker.

If Swigert had not had his foot stepped on and smashed into the turf by Hoban, I have no doubt they'd still be playing this year, but that's how it goes.

Hoban is who Louisville only had a 2 year contract with.

Iraqvet-Think you have gone over the top here. This is a football game. Focus on the word "game". It's not the war you lived in.

Well said. If any these young men join the military, then they can fine tune their leadership skills. Right now they are our children and classmates playing a game (that is suppose to be for them).
  • irishball25
Thanks 74 Leps I wasn't sure. If Neff gets the passing game down I think the o will be solid next year. I agree about Swigert, it's a shame Logan lost Angle. Top two teams in region both lose their starting QBs what are the odds.
  • irishball25
Go Cheifs you are right it's alot of travel but I was just thinking it would be great to see two classy programs square off yearly. I guess that's just me as a fan being selfish.
  • Boomhauer
Yeah thanks 74 Leps,,we lose everybody so I'm not sure how good we'll be,but my wild guess is as long as Amyx sticks around the defense should be pretty solid, the big question mark like it is in most years, is the offense, might have to go back to being a power I team again who knows,,should be interesting...
