For the fifth annual meeting between these two teams, the Win/Loss record has been split so far. Massillon won in '09 and '10. The Golden Eagles have won the last two meetings by scores of, 22-21 (2011) and 26-24 (2012). In the last three meetings, the combined total points scored is 73-75 in Glenoaks favor.
After the #BackyardBrawl2013 of last week, between Massillon and Perry, The Glenoak game is turning into another storied rival in the annals of History for Massillon. Joing such rivals as:

This Thursday will be just the 10th meeting between Glenoak and Massillon, with the Tigers leading the series 6-3. Glenoak comes into the game 1-0 after putting down Firestone last week, 28-12. They sit 11th so far in Region 1 computer points at 6.000. Massillon will be looking to improve their season record to 2-0, coming off a nice win against Perry, 35-7. Massillon sits 2nd in points, tied with Lake and Grafton Midview in Region 4 (DII), at 6.500.
It will be interesting to see who Coach Hall starts this week, against the Golden Eagles, at QB. David left last weeks game before the second half even started, with a sever leg cramp. After being on an IV in the locker room, he later had to be taken to Massillon Hospital, suffering from heat exhaustion. As of Sunday, he was doing very well, and should be good to go on Thursday. But, now Hall has a tough decision. Stay with the Freshman at QB, and keep the Jr healthy for the kicking game? Or go back to his named starting QB and let him continue to lead the offense.
Either way, either route, Massillon should be ok and ready to go at 7:30 on Thursday, from Paul Brown Tiger Stadium. We should see attendance numbers close to what they were last week, as Glenoak does travel a bit better than Perry, and the weather should be a little more mild and bearable to sit in. I expect to see close to 13,000 for this game, especially given the last three meetings between these two teams, being so close. No matter the attendance, its sure to be a great game, I cant wait!!
GO TIGERS!! GROUND GLENOAK!!
