You do occasionally make a decent post. -

That's because you occasionally let me defend myself. -

I find it funny that I haven't had to do anything with your posts or anything with you in quite some time, yet, you still obsess over it. Oh well, "defend" yourself so we can get back on topic. -

Per a poster on the other site, whether it's true or not, I don't know, just a post I read. Amyx is out as he's had to many medical problems within the last year. Again, I don't know how true or not that is. I know I saw him last time I was home, and he looked healthy to me.mdd2299;1323371 wrote:GoChiefs,
I talked to somebody at a Boy Scout meeting that said the same thing about Amyx wanting to come back. -
Black AngusOn another site Mike Carter of Johnstown could be interseted!

I don't know anything about Mr. Carter, but I'd think the job would create some interest out there. Logan has a decent tradition and above average facilities.Black Angus;1329378 wrote:On another site Mike Carter of Johnstown could be interseted! -
Black AngusLogan will attract a top of the line coach! Some important citzens are putting a big dollor package together! Get ready Ohio Logan Football will be back!
-
Black AngusThere is a local nut job wanting the school board to reconsider the Supt decison to fire Wolfe. Get Real! we just had the worst 3 years of losing in the history of logan football.
-
GoChiefsRiddlebarger is a very intelligent kid, and he does make some valid points. For you to call him a nut job because his opinion is different than yours over a coach is just ridiculous.
-
Black Angus
I am sorry you feel that way, but a or any coach with a record of 3-7, 1-9 and 2-8 with average talent is a diservice to our young people in our program. Sorry to say this but there are many internal discipline problems!GoChiefs;1341574 wrote:Riddlebarger is a very intelligent kid, and he does make some valid points. GoChiefsBelow average talent.

If the talent was below average it the job of the coach to Develop the talent, which Wolfe fail to acomplish.GoChiefs;1341598 wrote:Below average talent. -

He did. He developed the talent from below average to average. You either got it or you don't. Lombardi himself can't turn below average talent into superstars. Open your eyes and look past the dang w/l column. Theres a reason Amyx got out when he did. Because he saw what was coming. If he knew he couldn't develop the talent, how did you expect Wolfe to? Wolfe bleeds Chieftain football. Hes given over 20 years to the purple & white. The fact that you want to throw him away because he doesn't have the players to win just blows my mind. That attitude is part of the problem at Logan. Everyone expects Wolfe to work miracles, and its impossible. -
Black Angus
Miracles NO but this past year he should have beat Newark, Northland, Yes even Nelsonville-York and Warren! Look all I hear from you are excuses, Excuses are for losers! Chage is good lets move forward!GoChiefs;1341639 wrote:He did. He developed the talent from below average to average. You either got it or you don't. No 'shine, they aren't excuses, its called common sense. Just like the other clueless blow hards at Logan that are demanding change, you have no clue what you're talking about. You just think any coach can win with any group of kids, and thats just not possible.
And please read above where I supported change genius. I have no problem with a new coach, but I'm not blind enough to think that all the problem is because of Wolfe. -
Black AngusJust to clear the air, In my life time following high school football I have seem positive change occur when the direction of a program changes! Losing upsets everyone and one factor which was lightly touched on around hocking co. was the attendance issues at the games and the likely hood of pay to play unless support picks up! Lets all get behind the NEW Coach and support the Chiefs!

GoChiefsLogan has always had a fair weather fanbase. If the team isn't winning, the fans don't show up. It's always been that way, nothing new.

As a fan, team member and supporter I never missed a single game from 1964 -2001 and since only missed a few due to work or family commitmentsGoChiefs;1341796 wrote:Logan has always had a fair weather fanbase. mdd2299I guess I am a fair weather fan because I will not pay to see a poor performance. It's true that no coach can take horrible talent and make it to the playoffs every year, but I think a lot of fans just noticed poor fundamentals and discipline and that is something a coach can control. I heard straight from a player's mouth during Wolfe's first season that the team was "afraid" to screw up when Amyx was there, but that if they screwed up under Wolfe it was no big deal. I don't know if that changed in his 2nd or 3rd season, but when a current player tells you something like that, it has to be a bad omen.

It continued and also discipline was a big problem! Kelly is to nice of a person to be a head football coach! Dale was fair but instilled strict dicsipline!mdd2299;1343247 wrote:I guess I am a fair weather fan because I will not pay to see a poor performance. Black AngusOn SEOP someone said an old coach by the name of Adair would be a good coach?
-
mdd2299The name sounds familiar, but I can't place who it is.
