Week 5: Triway (3-1,1-0) vs Tuslaw (2-2,0-1)
-
AllAmerican21Big game between traditional powers in the PAC. Triway coming off of a blowout win at Fairless. Held the powerful Fairless offense to just 110 yards passing (60 of which came against triway #2's) and Tuslaw coming off of a tough loss at CVCA where they scored 35 second half points while losing in OT. Triway looking to get off to a 2-0 start in conference play on their homecoming weekend.. WHO YA GOT?!
-
thePITmanThis week's Triway/Tuslaw game should be a good one. Triway will be the favorite coming in, but Tuslaw has proven they can hang with some good teams. Homecoming week is always a fun time for the kids, so hopefully the festivities throughout the week do not distract them. But from chatting with a few of the players the last few weeks, they seem like kids that have stayed focused week-to-week thus far. Hopefully that continues.
-
AllAmerican21all of the talk around the area that I have been hearing is 9-1, but it seems to me like the kids are staying away from that talk and just focusing on the next week's game. in the PAC, thats what you have to do or your 9-1 can quickly turn into a 5-5 year.. if they take it game by game i think they have a playoff team
-
thePITmanI saw Tuslaw ran the ball 52 times last week against CVCA. 52! Did I read that correctly? Oddly enough, West Holmes ran it 52 times against us in week 1. Of course, West Holmes gained over 200 more yards on their carries than Tuslaw did against CVCA.
I'm surprised there's not more talk on this game. -
AllAmerican21i am surprised to get on here and only see three replies to this thread, really thought there would be some more chatter about this one.. yes, tuslaw ran the ball 52 times against CVCA, but were also shut out the first half. did CVCA just tire in the second half or get comfortable with their lead? or were a lot of those carries in the first half and tuslaw opened it up some in the second? either way, triway can expect a lot more of the run based on what they have done against it to this point

1486wdi think triway wins this one by double digits. I watched the 'stangs play dalton (who is not real good this year) and they easily could have lost that game. Triway is playing at a much higher level than I expected. I still wonder about their line depth by late in the season, though. Tuslaw does have a good, strong running qb that can give you trouble and a couple solid playmakers at thw skill positions.
-
thePITmanI think this game will be a very close game. I hope those predicting a double-digit victory are right, but Tuslaw has the potential to beat us if we don't take care of the ball and contain their running game. Should be a great game. And wet.

Only saw Tuslaw in a scrimmage, but would have to say Triway is a much better team. Good luck Titans.:thumbup:thePITman;1276544 wrote:I think this game will be a very close game. Thank you. Hopefully we can get you a few more L2 points. I was at that scrimmage, too, and West Holmes definitely handled them. I just hope their size and running ability doesn't spell disaster for us. But then again, we can score, too. I just don't want to come into this (or any) game overconfident.Greatwhite;1276645 wrote:Only saw Tuslaw in a scrimmage, but would have to say Triway is a much better team. Good luck Titans.

thePITmanTriway got a good game vs Tuslaw tonight. It was all working offensively as we went over 500 yards of total offense. Final: Triway 44 Tuslaw 28. The Titans had lots of players contribute tonight offensively, and our O-line did an outstanding job protecting for Parker and making lanes for Boreman. Really happy with our performance tonight. Now on to CVCA.
