Top Class of 2011 Toledo City League Players?

SFSFanI suppose it would depend on who you know...or listen to. I know an awful lot of players and families....and most of the disgruntled folks are parents with kids who don't play as much as they think little Johnny should...the players were an extremely tight knit team last year ... and Cromwell's success with them proves he is likely playing the right kids at the right positions, even if you don't agree with the primarily run oriented offense he coaches. You'd never have a team with 100% happy players...and the ones who truly think they'd be so much better playing somewhere else because they're better than the kids starting in front of them....well, if they are that self deluded, then perhaps they can find a happier home elsewhere...

scout2Good programs have postions available to all team members all the time. No single position should ever be 100% secure, it should always be "may the best man win" . That is of course if you plan to win.
If you are not getting enough time on the field, STEP UP YOUR GAME!
Great players are willing to be coached, work in the off season., and play any spot that would help their team. Personally, I like being the underdog, the dark horse, etc.... I like trouble, confrontation and lots of adversity. It is the adversity and struggle that will launch you to the next level. If the field however is not level and postions have already been decided in your program, in my most humble opinion I would have to say...FIND A NEW HOME! Otherwise.....PROVE IT!!!!!!!!

SFSFanAnd I know that every position is open at the beginning of summer practices on the SFS football team....and kids know exactly where they are on the depth chart as the two a days continue...whether disgruntled parents/kids believe that to be otherwise or not. What I don't know is how competitive it is after the season begins (to the point of available all the time) - I believe once the starters are named before the first game, it likely takes a bit more effort to bump them out of their rotation, however don't doubt that's the case for the majority of high schools.
