Drums of WarTom Bauer OT '96. Went on to have a very nice run @ at Mount. Also Aaron Lockhart, '93/'94 maybe? He was a great player and an even better kid. Was killed while training with the military. We should honor him.
-
oh yeah!!can't forget tr. stroh and gauer at lb or lazuras on DL there are so many to choose from
-
ajwahoo2k2Ok, this is good for the past 20 years, with the exception of Crossland who was in the 80's but what about from the early days too? Don't forget coaches, off course Vic when he retires will be on the list, but Scotty Morrison, Gary Dial to name a few. Supporters, Bill Fricke, Don Schalmo, etc.
RB: Crossland, Butzer, Weber
QB: Shiplett
OL: Ardman, Baer, Klatt
WR: Robb
TE:
Start with this and then we'll move to defense -
ajwahoo2k2Drums you know what I'd like to see... The boys on the goal line for the National Anthem! That was very respectful to our country and past players who served our country. Maybe the captains this year will bring that up. I know one that will!
-
oh yeah!!stacy was a better qb than shiplett no offense...shiplett was a great talent but if stacy had his height he would have dominated and went D1 no doubt.....bertsch and/or sette at TE lineman needs to have bauer and dial and WR needs stover and baiera also can't rule out the players from the 70's when NW was indeed a power
-
ajwahoo2k2RB: Crossland, Butzer, Weber

I could not agree more. Not only does it show respect to Country, Players, and Soldiers, but it is also a sign of respect, and is very much appreciated by the band. Also, I think it would be a great tradition to start performing the alma-mater after games with the team in the great tradition of many colleges and HS's. For this school to thrive, I feel it is important to pay respect to it's great history. I have been contemplating organizing something for 2016 which would be the school's 60th anniversary. Maybe that would be a good time to work on the Hall of Fame? I would be happy to help if some others would like to get together on it.ajwahoo2k2;1116524 wrote:Drums you know what I'd like to see... tinman 36Hey Brutus, if these guys seen Scott Crossland play, there would be no debate. His brother Boyd, prob one of the top TE, def the best DE that I seen. Tim Earnsberger at LB, 3 year starter, somehow doesnt lead for all time tackles. Phil Steiner my choice at QB. We had some nasty linemen back in the day
-
oh yeah!!I have seen crossland, butzer, weber, and sette all play RB and I must say I would take any one of these players as my go to guy handing the ball off every down! i would have to mention beers in there as well but they are the top 4 rb to come out of NW no questions
-
Brutusscott veney. scott chapman randy richardson derek pullen tim earnsberger jon beck jon elvin tom culp steve ries steve reminarick tim collins

skankHow about a coach? Morrison? Vic?
-
tinman 36tough call on the coach, if they took 8 teams per region back then, Morrision and Dial would have been there a lot

ajwahoo2k2Had a few of the boys over at the Massillon recruiting showcase, err the Nike Combine a couple of weeks ago. I know that Kyle Harris turned in a very respectable 40 time. I think it was in the 4.6's. Tristan Mullane had the best day out of the skill players. All the lineman showed that they could compete with the best from the area.
Can't wait to see what the season brings to the Indian Nation this fall!
Any new projections on what boys will be playing where?
150 days until the Red Riders visit. -
DoverbuckI heard from a good source, your Indians will play Dover starting next season,I think it will be the opener, likely Thursday.

That would be great news but, I'm pretty sure we are scheduled with Orrville for the next two years. I believe NW will have open dates in week 3,4,7,9 as of now.Doverbuck;1131274 wrote:I heard from a good source, your Indians will play Dover starting next season,I think it will be the opener, likely Thursday. -

Matt Ramsey also posted an impressive combine. 66.34 rating for a soon to be sophmore. Not badajwahoo2k2;1129728 wrote:Had a few of the boys over at the Massillon recruiting showcase, err the Nike Combine a couple of weeks ago. Dude, you PM me and beg me to be cool about the Winters/his sideliners relationship, then you post some crap like this? I haven't forgotten about, "the benefits". -
ajwahoo2k2And it is called a joke.
-
skankYou played the exact same, "I'm joking" card when we had our disagreement last fall. #1, you WEREN'T joking, #2 you aren't funny, #3 If you WERE joking, you would have put a J/K at the end of the comment, #4, I have a vivid memory, and can, talk about ALL the stuff you begged me not to talk about last fall.
Now, get back to talking about the Northwest Indians, and knock off the Massillon trash talk....FOR GOOD....Or I talk.
