  Have been over to Smithie stadium and the parking will be a nightmare!!! Constuction everywhere! They are in the early stages of building new HS. and Elementary school. The Smithies will hold there own this year, The line will be smaller than last year but quicker! Size wise, the Smithies are a lot like the 2004 team, not saying they will have the same kind of success, but this years team will be no doormat!

  There is a lot of fight in these kids and the players really like coach B.B. The asst. coaches are all returning and that lend some continuity to the program. I am going to say that Smithville comes out of the non conference games 2-1. The defense needs some work and I think will get better as the season progresses. I do think the offense will surprise some people as B.B. has a really good mind for football.

  Two things I learned reading the DR preview................
  
  1. Bill Dennis has rebuilt 4 programs!!!!!.................The man's a genius.............at rewriting history!
  
  2. Brent Besancon seems like he's pretending the ugly Schrock usurping never took place. Maybe it didn't since the 35 year assistants stayed on. Maybe we'll never know what really happened.
