I wasnt sure how "troll for hire" would go over
  • Mr. Russell
There is a big difference between POY candidtates and impact players.

I was thinking more along the lines of "I'm here to help"

Beast is just hoping that he can be one of the 8 that you invite into the Falcon's Nest with you. Which I hope not since I sit right below it and do not want to have to wear my rain gear to keep the druel from running down my back.

I don't suppose beast would come to the game unless Hillsdale plays Waynedale, he's funny like that.

We are at home against the daBears this year, and you would be surprised what Beast would do for a free meal.
  • footballnut
I'm guessing that a POY candidate would be an impact player.

Yes, I made the switch from "impact" to "POY". The debate on who is an impact player and who isn't could & would get exhausting. Switching over to "POY" candidates eliminates alot of arguments.

EXAMPLE: My thinking is someone (bobcat14 in this case) throws out the whole line from Norwayne. He's not wrong, they have some impact players on the line. The problem occurs when we try to figure out who is and isn't an impact player on the line. 3 out of 10 spectators have the ability to point out excellent line play and who is the one shining, the other 7 pick the biggest guy and say he's the one.
I'm effectively cutting that argument off before it gets started.

I know, I'm pretty much cutting out linemen. It, like the world, is unfair.

    NWN- Nolletti & Smith
    NOR-Harris, Zimmerly, Berger & Beery
    SMV-Bates, Shane & Buss
    WD-Stanley & Strassbaugh
    HILL-?
    RITT-Dennis & Hooser
    DAL-Moyer
    CHIPP-?

Hillsdales gotta have at least 1

Most of the Falcon's key positions will be up for grabs this year as we lose a lot to graduation. So I can not put anyone in the POY category yet. Also, when it comes to POY, good teams do not have stand outs that grab the headlines. On good teams lines block for the backs, QB's make the passes and WR's make the catches and no one gets singled out enough for POY.

I support your move. Take out Kurts "lineman" from Smitville, impact player yes, POY candidate no.

You are close here, but generally "Good" teams have at least one standout, if not several!

I will agree with you but they still do not get the recognition, the two for Hillsdale that really fits this IMO is Zach Fulk and Ryan Moore who graduated last year. Both were of major importance on both sides of the ball for our regional team.

Of course good teams have standouts. If they're on a bad team - noone hinks they're a standout anyway because no one notices them

Let's see if I have this correct.
The to of us are two stupid too use the word to correctly.:o

The sad thing is, with my complete disregard for the English language and your complete mastery of it, the previous sentence made perfect sense when both of us read it.

Guessing turf installers do lots of fields in the summer time. Not saying it can't be done, but it's getting late.
I get the distinct feeling RR1 badly wants Orrville to get turf first.

YES BY GOD!!!!.....He wants to win the turf race

Go Falcons;1166272 wrote:Last night Tommy Williams was hired as Hillsdale Elementary principal. As a requirement of the teacher union contract he also had to resign as football coach. If no one on staff applies he will be able to re-apply and he would then have to re-apply every year.
Interesting.....having to re-apply annually should make for some dramatic moments in the future.
