elitesmithie05This doesn't all have to with with Sports but the Smithville BOE and people in power are really angering the people that pay their salary(tax payers). If something doesn't change soon when the time comes to have kids in a school system it will NOT be in Smithville.

He was broke in at Waynedale....we let him go get Orrville and Rittman up to par and welcomed him back. Im sure he has time to help Smithville too. Eh...screw Smithville. -

Rittman actually does have a wrestling program. They are firmly established in youth. They have a jr high program in place as well. It even yielded at WABC champion in its first year. I believe they will have a high school team in in two seasons.THE4RINGZ;1162902 wrote:I would suspect there is more to if than a lack of a wrestling program.

RedRider1Imagine a district comprising Waynedale, Smithville, Orrville and Rittman? Would that be D-2 in football?
What would you call it? East Wayne? -

When you make a mini for Apple Creek, please make one that is about 6 times smaller so that it fits Beast.
When you make the Husky helmet please make one about 800 times bigger so it fits RRum's big head -

Your comment brings up an interesting point. In the early 80's you have a helmet like that and everyone thinks university of michigan, no big deal. Fast forward to the 2000's and a simple block "N" on their helmets, no one thinks university of northwestern, well except the people in the legal department at said school apparently.1486wd;1164072 wrote:Ooof. Happened with Waynedale in the 2003-2004 seasons. Wisconsin got word of the logo used... sent a cease and desist. I believe Wooster as well had their logo for an even shorter time before Wisconsin sent them a letter.THE4RINGZ;1164087 wrote:Your comment brings up an interesting point. THE4RINGZI heard rumors of new desing for Wooster's helmets this upcoming season. Any previews of them out there?
-
RedRider1Wooster just changed their helmets last season...from the Wisconsin W to that yellow W.
Waynedale also got away from the Wisconsin W as mentioned above.
Northwestern changed theirs after copycating NU's for years.
Chippewa went away from the FSU spear to more of an arrowhead design.
Norwayne's helmet was red with that generic script N....then went to silver with a Block N pawprint design.
Now Dalton abandons the blank look for a sharp Bulldogs word logo.
Lots of helmet redesigns lately among local teams. -
RedRider1Also, this link says Smithville is looking for a week 1 opponent this fall.

Not a lot of time to get something done. Or has it already been resolved and just not taken off the OHSAA site? -
THE4RINGZI thought Smithville picked up Loudonville for Week One starting in 2012??????
