Kenton and Mauk only led Genoa by 2 with 8 minutes to go in the game....eventually won my 10. This does show they are beatable.....perhaps a Hartley, Norwayne or Girard Team is State Champ???O-Trap;972791 wrote:Yeah, I refuse to bet against a team with a Mauk on it. -

Perhaps. I just won't BET against Mauk.1_beast;972864 wrote:Kenton and Mauk only led Genoa by 2 with 8 minutes to go in the game....eventually won my 10. This does show they are beatable.....perhaps a Hartley, Norwayne or Girard Team is State Champ??? -

I believe that was Jon Maibach -
O-TrapWell then Maibach is a boss blocker.

Red Rider NationThe D4 state championship is Saturday night at Arlin. The 2 best teams left. No disrepsect to Norwayne or Girard but the winner of this game will run the table pretty easily
-
OQBI will be heading out to Mansfield Saturday night to take in that game with Mauk vs Hartley. Should be a dandy!

Would this be a different prospective had Orrville won?Red Rider Nation;973148 wrote:The D4 state championship is Saturday night at Arlin. The 2 best teams left. No disrepsect to Norwayne or Girard but the winner of this game will run the table pretty easily

Not at all. Im a fan but Im also realistic. I thought Orrville would beat Norwayne and lose to Girard. Kenton and Hartley are just on a different level. I could see either one of these teams winning it all in a Division as high D2 and at least compete in D1. I wouldnt put Norwayne, Orrville, Girard or whoever else in D4 in that league. Trust me Im pulling for Norwayne but there is always that 1 0r 2 teams out there that just play at a differnet level.1_beast;973163 wrote:Would this be a different prospective had Orrville won?

Thanks for the welcome to The O.C. everyone. It's great to see the passion from area fans and pretty good sportsmanship during and after the game. Lots of respect for both programs. I had to laugh at Bloody Toothbrush's analysis above of our D.R. sideline team. I did try to get a better looking sideline reporter to help me, but since we didn't quite have the budget to lure Erin Andrews from ESPN, we had to settle for Andrew Vogel. Seriously, though since I was writing a column I didn't have to stat each play like he did for his story.Bloody Toothbrush;970408 wrote:What a great evening for Football & shenanigans.....
Noticed Aaron Dorksen has a man servant carrying a notebook at his beck and call....nice job perk...I personally would have a female (36-26-36) fill that position....but hey, whatever floats your boat Dorksen. -
Aaron DorksenI need to get my post count up to 10 to view graphics on here apparently, so here's a question I'm looking into. Is it predetermined which regions will meet in the state semis, or does the OHSAA have option to pair how they want to based on geography or predicted attendance. I was thinking it's the latter but couldn't remember for sure.

1_beastOHSAA has rebracketed in the past....

I dont know that the state has to give a reason for rebracketing, but I'm pretty sure it's geographic first, and everything else second.
Last year, it was decided that Region 13 would play region 14 before the regional finals were even played.
The state wants two teams from opposite ends of the state as much as possible (East/west or North/south)
I'd be willing to wager that its going to be Region 13 vs. Region 15 (Johnstown-Monroe/Coshocton winner) and Region 14 vs. 16 in the other semifinal. Makes the most sense geographically. -
1_beastSome are calling for rebracketing in reg 22 and 24...to separate the MAC schools from playing in the Final 4 and hope to play an all MAC FINAL

Really appreciate the offer Mr. Miyagi, but we have our young reporter Mr. Vogel assigned to go to Holmes County to get us some fresh Jackalope for our staff Thanksgiving dinner.Mr Miyagi;973339 wrote:You and Andrew should have come on over and tried some of Miyagi's "chicken" jerky...it was a big hit......Look Miyagi up this week....Miyagi is trying out something new.....Japanese Hotdog -

Go Falcons
They don't actually re-bracket because the brackets are not set beyond the regional level. They will align so there is not an all private final if possible and they don't want an all league final either. They are supposed to go with the closest teams together though.Aaron Dorksen;973308 wrote:I need to get my post count up to 10 to view graphics on here apparently, so here's a question I'm looking into.
