Eh maybe. However, if that's what you really think then I have no problem with people saying it. If they're wrong then they look stupid. However, the people who were saying that the Shadyside game last year was going to be close look just as stupid now in my opinion, or the Mccomb/Covington fans who tell people in the MAC EVERY year that they are going to give us a run for our money. I believe that the winner of the DSJ/Marion game will be a 2 touchdown favorite. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong.

P.S. You are right though, you can state your opinion without being a d-bag about it.

Tough loss for Western Reserve 22-21. Geat season ends with a tough one. Good luck to all 12 teams next weekend playing for 6 trophies.

    Marion Local 21-14
    Exciting game
    congratulations to both teams
    to marion for the victory
to st johns for playing exceptionally under such difficult circumstances

Great game tonight. Another instant classic between Marion and DSJ. What I don't understand is why DSJ went into a prevent defense on that last drive, when their normal D had been working so well the entire game. Didn't the coaches learn anything from the Coldwater game, when they played great D the entire game, then switched to a prevent D and got torched on the final drive. If the Jays stay in their normal D on that last drive they are probably playing next week.

So the R23 (SE region) winner and state finalist representative from the east side of the state is from Crawford County.
  • perfect game

Yes, that seems quite odd, but there are so many D6 teams from NW Ohio, that Crawford County is a swing county when the OHSAA divides up the regions. Last year, BC and Wynford were in Region 21. I guess Crawford County is far enough east to get put in either of the east regions.
I'm just happy the Bucks are in the final and that the Royals made it to the final 4.

Buckeye Central has had a magical season but I think Marion Local is going to take them behind the woodshed. I don't think this game will even be close.

Looking forward to the final... If Marion wins it will be their 5th title (4th in DVI). Has Buckeye ever won a title??? If Buckeye has any chance in this game they are going to have to stop Marion's running game, which DSJ struggled with at times last night. I don't see them doing that.

No, BC has been to one other final (maybe '96?), I think.

I think that this not the first time that the D6 finalist from the east is so far west. Norwalk St. Paul, Bascom Hopewell Loudon also made it to the finals from the eastern regions.

Does anybody have any info on Buckeye Central?

I'll repost what some thought was disrespectful, but is actually a fact of life for D6. Nice to see another western school representing the east for the D6 title again. Great season for Buckeye Central, congrats to those kids (although the admin at BC might not be very popular in this area right now).

I don't think that was the post that people thought was disrespectful. Congrats on the win.

    Spot on :)
