Week 11: #8 Smithville (8-2) at #1 Bucyrus Wynford (10-0)

Smithville could not complete a pass at least up till 10:00 left in the game, when I left. Wynford just loaded the box with some real big kids.

They ended up with 0 yds passing. The Smithies will need to add some balance. They have to be phenomenal up front to make deep runs in the playoffs. A more balanced attack, however, would help to keep defenses honest. I expect another good team from our neighbors next year.

Were you sitting with a group of Hillsdale fans on the right side of the stands at the 40-ish (as we faced the field), about halfway up? I think you sat 2 rows in front of me to my right a few seats.

Yep! You should have said something.

You are right on! Balance is key to getting deeper in the playoffs. Even if (in Smithville’s case) 70% run 30% pass! They have the talent and should be using it better.
The definition of insanity is, doing the same thing over and over and expecting the results to be different! Good run by the Smithes and good luck in 2012

I fudged that one up. They'll play a big Portsmouth West team who just beat my Buckeyes last night.
